FINAL HOURS - BECOME A BACKER BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
Wyrmkeep Dungeons TZ2: Curse of the Desert Outpost has surpassed its third Stretch Goal! Excellent!
Are you a gamemaster looking for a fun and challenging adventure to add to your ongoing campaign? Or maybe you just want a scenario you can run for your players that can be completed in one or two sessions? In either case, I have just what you want… Wyrmkeep Dungeons TZ2: Curse of the Desert Outpost is a fantasy role-playing-game adventure module designed for a band of 5-8 5e DnD characters of 2nd to 4th level.
A mansion, once an oasis and outpost for a sheikdom and its clan, has mysteriously reappeared after being lost to the desert sands decades ago. This mansion’s location is significant in possibly resolving a simmering border dispute between multiple clans, which has lead the current sheik to hire a party of adventurers to scout the building and recover a token of authority that should be found within.
Rumors state that the entire place was cursed by the attackers (or maybe the defenders). Even if that is true, with courage and resourcefulness, the explorers surely can overcome the many threats of the Curse of the Desert Outpost and collect the riches that remain.
The author of this module is Joe Pearce, who has been running and writing RPG adventures for over 20 years. This is his fifth fantasy RPG funding drive, the first four being the successfully funded and shipped Temple of the Dragon Kin, Befouled Maze of the Demi-Lich, The Beast Below, and Raiders of the Cloud Castle. Joe is also a video game developer and writes a webcomic.
An abridged version of Curse of the Desert Outpost was run at OrcCon 2019, and all that is needed to complete the module is to fill-in a few additional encounters, write final monster stat blocks, and commission some more illustrations. I expect it should be available for delivery to backers by the start of Summer 2019.
There are some of the artists that will appear in the module (based on availability): Jacob Blackmon, Joshua LH Burnett , Ed Lacabanne, Mark Lyons, Brian McCranie, and Phil Stone
The module will have the following features as a base goal:
- 16-20 pages in length
- Over 20 encounter areas
- 4 black & white interior illustrations
- Color cover artwork
- At least one new monster available as Open Game Content
- Maps of the outpost
All backers receive these custom character sheets!
Once the base goal is reached, I would like to make Curse of the Desert Outpost even better by adding more content!
You can include additional items in your rewards by increasing your pledge total above to the base for the tier you selected. Just include the additional amount(s) listed below. Please note that some add-ons have restrictions.
More information about our other modules below!
Softcover copies of The Beast Below include a printed handout featuring the four primary foes of the adventure! See the gray T-shirt above under Add-ons to get an idea of what that artwork looks like.

Risks and challenges
We have already successfully funded and shipped four fantasy RPG modules, and based on that we know that the risks are pretty minimal for a project of this kind. We don't anticipate any delays or issues, but once in a while they happen due to the detail level of an encounter or two.
I want to create a top-notch module, so extra drafts, testing and final tweaking may be required. Backers will be kept up-to-date on these issues. If and when this causes a delay, it will be for making the best product that I can on budget!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
