Knights from several different kingdoms have banded together and have overtaken a noble king's castle while he is away on a journey. However, a few of the knights in the king's castle have remained loyal to the king and have refused to be involved in the takeover. As a result, these loyal knights have been taken prisoner by the rogue knights and are locked up in a dungeon deep beneath the king's castle.

Now... each of you, the few loyal knights, must attempt an escape to warn the king and get his other loyal followers to help retake the kingdom! 

Your daring escape attempt begins...
12 of the disloyal knights know you have escaped from the dungeon, and they are now roaming the castle floors looking for each of you. All of these disloyal knights have different levels of alertness and tenacity. Some knights are more focused and determined to find you, while others are more oblivious. However, as you get closer to escaping the castle, more of the oblivious knights suddenly become more mindful and vigilant! Will you play it safe or be daring as you attempt to slip by these disloyal knights? Will you ultimately be the first to escape the castle and warn the king?

KNIGHT DICE

Game includes two Knight Dice (19MM size), four 6-sided dice (16MM size), & game rules.

Beneath the castle are 5 underground levels. Each level has a stairway located somewhere on its floor. The bottom most level (Level 1) is where the dungeon is located and where you will begin your escape attempt. The object is to make your way up the different levels and ultimately escape the castle.

Before actual play begins, each player rolls a six sided die. The player who rolls the highest number goes first. Next, each player takes a six sided die and places it in front of them with the ONE showing face up. The numbered pips on a player's die represent what Floor Level that player is on.

Place the "Roll and Advance to" chart off to the side and out of the way of rolling, but still in every player's view. (See "Roll and Advance to" chart level examples below).

Each player's turn consists of the following phases in order:
Phase 1. Player rolls the two knight dice. Then, check the "Roll and Advance to" chart. If both of the player's dice show knights from the "Roll and Advance to 2" list on the chart, then that player advances one level up the underground of the castle (Floor Level 2). Player turns his/her six sided so the TWO shows face up and continues on to Phase 2. If one of the player's two knight dice show a disloyal knight from the "Can Not Advance" list [on the right of the "Roll and Advance to 2" list], then the player is captured and thrown back in the dungeon by that disloyal knight. Thus, the player's turn is over.

Phase 2. Player rolls the two knight dice. Then, check the "Roll and Advance to" chart. If both of the player's dice show knights from the "Roll and Advance to 3" list on the chart, then that player advances one more level up the underground of the castle (Floor Level 3). Player turns his/her six sided die so the THREE shows face up and continues on to Phase 3. If one of the player's two knight dice show a disloyal knight from the "Can Not Advance" list [on the right of the "Roll and Advance to 3" list], then that disloyal knight is just alarmed. As a result, the player has the option to either STAY on his/her current level and wait until his/her next turn or CHANCE IT and roll either one or both of his/her knight dice again. If he/she decides to chance it and both knight dice on the re-roll now show knights from the "Roll and Advance to 3" list, then the player turns his/her six sided die so the THREE shows face up and continues on to Phase 3. If the re-roll of the one or two knight dice shows a disloyal knight AGAIN from the "Can Not Advance" list [on the right of the "Roll and Advance to 3" list], then the player is captured and thrown back in the dungeon by that disloyal knight. Thus, the player's turn is over and must turn his/her six sided die so the ONE shows face up.

Phase 3. Repeat Phase 2 game play, but this time attempt to advance to Floor Level 4 (view the chart for the necessary rolls). If successful, repeat Phase 2 game play again for Floor Level 5 and Floor Level 6 respectively. The first player to make it to Floor Level 6 escapes the castle successfully and WINS THE GAME... and thus is able to warn the king and get his other loyal followers to help retake the kingdom!

Welcome to the world of Robotica, where wars between nations and kingdoms are no longer fought with humans, or even guns. Instead, people have turned to robots to fight their battles. Prominent engineers across the globe (not involved with the wars) have designed and developed 24 of the most technologically advanced robots ever assembled in human history.

Now... you have been chosen to represent your nation as the Robotica General. You will decide what robots to buy and which robots to battle with. Will you purchase more robots that are less expensive to try and gain the advantage with numbers, or will you buy fewer robots that are pricier to try and win battles with shear power? Then, during the actual battles, which of your opponent's robots will your robots fight against? Will you have one of your stronger robots fight against one of your rival's stronger robots or weaker robots? Will the risk outweigh the reward? Each decision you make could effect who is victorious in the end.

In Word Golf, words count as strokes. For tee shots, you'll need long words. For chipping or putting, shorter words will do. Either way, all your words must start and end with letters rolled from the unique 30-sided die.

Contents Include: 4 game sheet pads, 1 30-sided alphabet die, 4 pencils, 1 eraser, 1 2-minute timer and rules.

Risks and challenges

Some of the biggest risks for this project could arise from having the games produced outside the U.S. While production costs are lower in China on a per unit basis, there is a tradeoff in the form of higher risk. One such risk is obviously quality control ... everyone has heard horror stories about poor quality products being imported and subsequently recalled. Another such risk is related to logistics...there is always a potential risk that goods could be lost, damaged, stolen, or delayed during transport. We are tackling this challenge by utilizing a board game manufacturer headquartered in the U.S. who stand behind their products and constantly monitor the production and shipping process.
