still ticking. i constantly use these buds everyday. usually with only one in and the other in the case. i'm glad i back these. still waiting for the ripple. :P
For the most part I'm happy with the special edition black and gold I upgraded to. They are comfortable, sound quality is great, and I think my microphone works well, but haven't used it much.
A few problems though. My battery life doesn't even make it 2 hours. And when it gets to "battery low," it mentions it roughly every 15-20 steps I take. I get that it wants to warn us that it's going to shut off, but so frequently? It's a little annoying.
Is there anything I can do to increase the battery life? I read that others are lasting up to 4 hours?

I gotta say that the apollo music quality is superb, only after getting another wireless earphone only can I realize how good these are. Gonna buy the samsung wireless earphone soon to compare.

So far I am very happy with your Apollos...
But there's one thing which is not so nice. I have the issue that since a week my left earphone isn't connecting with devices ... I have to use the right one. It's not a big thing because left and right are still pairing but I wanted to let you know.

Backer from Hong Kong. Have been using my earbuds for like 3 months, so far it does well, here are some reviews other may want to know:
1. The music quality is really great compared to most of the wireless earbuds.
2. Overall, the control is ok and easy to use.
3. Battery is fair, around 2.5 - 4 hours due to my experience.
4. It is comfortable to wear and you don't have to worry that they will drop like Apple EarPods.
5. Almost all wireless earbuds have connection problems, and Apollo7 is relatively stable although it may disconnect suddenly from time to time, but the earbuds would connect each other/phone again real fast, usually around 1s.
1. It is very difficult to answer phone call, it is easy to miss calls and sometimes calls are easy to be hanged upaccidentally.
2. Microphone doesn't work well. It is hard for other to hear my voice when I am on phone, especially when I am answering calls at a noisy environment, like on train. The volume of my voice sounds too little to other most of the time.
It's a good wireless earbuds for listening to music, I would say it has the greatest music performance among most of the wireless earbuds at the moment. However the microphone is a fail, and since Apollo7 doesn't have any framewire, I think it is impossible to be fixed / improved.
I've had mine's for 2 months or so.... maybe 3? Average life around 3 hours for each side. I usually listen one bud at a time. Dropped the bud themselves a few times too. Cosmestically scratches... also drop the case a few times too, but it is stick ticking. Waiting for the ripple bud to compare against.

I recieved my Kickstarter edition of Apollo 7 wireless ear buds. The problem I'm facing is that the ear buds do not discharge evenly. I'm very fine I use them either the left or the right discharges quicker than the other. Even right now my left earbud is at 20% battery and the right one is on 80% battery. What to do?

Hi. Where can I find foam substitutes for the Apollo 7? Mine completely teared almost instantly, maybe by humidity. And the silicone ones don't have same sound, a bit to bright.
I understand that higher quality materials can lead to higher cost. But that doesn't really explain why the $200+ dollar version has a much shorter battery life than that of a product priced at a third of the luxury version. If you planned on creating an affordable product with high quality, then why not offer the same benefits to the much more expensive version of your product and really make your investors feel like they're receiving the best product for the price they paid. Just because it's smaller and made from better materials doesn't mean that the product has to have deficiencies that the newer models seem to overcome. Don't get me wrong, I love the Apollo 7, but with these new products (and not to mention the products offered by other startup companies) it makes my $200+ investment in these seem as though I got ripped off

I got your apollo 7 for a while now. Really happy with it for listening to music. Great quality, good control and good battery life/case. Yet, pretty disappointed on using it for calls, since that's the primary reason for me buying it: the dual capability of music and calls.
I am really unhappy with making calls with it for 3 reasons, in priority order:
1) I find It really hard to listen to calls. The calls are just not loud enough, which is really puzzling because music is more than sufficiently loud. To be clear, this is not about call quality, just the volume - the calls are just too quiet even at max volume.
2) why can't we listen to calls with both ears? You cannot be making safety decisions for me. I'm using these in the office.
3) the microphone is also not the greatest as whoever I'm calling often has trouble hearing me.
My guess is the last one can be hard to fix but I would love to get the first two fixed.

We understand your concerns regarding the new products we launched. Even though they all have similar characteristics, they are very different. The Apollo 7 is our premium product made with higher quality materials. For example, the Apollo 7 case is made of aluminum vs plastic for the Muse and the Rio doesn’t have a charging case. Although the Muse 5 is small, the Apollo 7 is 3x smaller and weighs 10 grams less. The cost to make a high quality earphone this small has a much higher manufacturer cost and therefore a higher retail cost. From the beginning we wanted to create a spectrum of earphones to meet the needs of a variety of customers. By offering an affordable product, an everyday lifestyle product, and a premium luxury product, we will be able to share our technology with millions of people around the world. We are not saying that the Muse or Rio is better, but the quality is comparable to the Apollo 7 as we have set high standards for ourselves. Many users still prefer the Apollo 7 due to the bulkiness of the Rio or Muse.
any update on the battery life? I really like the design but only 1.5 hours to use is painful that I can't finish a movie with it!
I also feel ripped off, I was somewhat satisfied even though the battery life lasts maybe 1.5-2 hours at best
However, you release something very similar for 1/3 + much longer battery life and you want us to be happy? You could at least give us a discount on the new products if you expect any good will from early adopters.
These guys really have no connect of customer service, I need to return mine as they don't work properly. They sent me an rma number but they went send me an address to send them to. I'm going to be error headphones for 6-8 weeks as it is and they are don't their best to drag it out, probably hoping I will give up.
You released new earphones 3 time cheaper than ours!?!?!?!?! and we are still waiting for firmware update or something for better connection and video lags.if you solved that problems with the new earphones i think you already owe us this product! Capitalism never works fast like you do! Shame!
Had my headphones for about two months. Work well, but every now and then the signal tends to get cut out. Slightly annoying. I'm also pretty angry about the newer and much much cheaper headphones they have. Definitely feel like I've been scammed or something. These newer models have a much longer lasting battery for a fraction of the price. Not cool Erato. Not cool
Got my headphones a while ago and at this point they aren't usable. I can't turn them off and they cut out soo much there's no point in using them.
Same here - can't feel nothing but duped seeing the new cheap ones. So far all I can tell is they are just as good but are heavie and bigger. Still, this company has made it obvious they don't care about the early adopters here

Still absolutely loving my headphones. Yes I wish calls could be routed through both headphones and that battery life was a touch longer, but I don't make a ton of phone calls and I'm rarely listening to music for more than a couple hours at a time. (Whichever bud establishes the primary connection to the phone lasts a touch over two hours.) Audio quality remains excellent and they are very secure and comfortable in my ears. The comply tips are by far the best for comfort and audio and they seem to be holding up nicely. Audio dropouts are rare. I get comments on them frequently. Great job overall. I wish you much success in the global market (a lot of iPhone users will need quality ear buds like these), and I am excited for future products from your company.
really? $69 for these plugs with drop-in wireless charging.. while we pay $250 here? I'm pissed off.
I Really enjoyed my Apollos until mine were stolen from my car! Call quality was indeed Poor but audio listening was excellent! I used them for working out and Was Overly Satisfied!! Now some Schmuck will enjoy! Thoroughly Pissed!! #MissMyApollos

Scott, I have had issues as well. I have been told a few times that I would receive replacements. No communication or action since. They have not replied to my last three emails. I have asked for a refund.
Scott, I have been very happy using my Limited Edition set with my S7 edge. I really wish both earbuds worked on phone calls, and the mic was good enough to use outdoors. There are many times the sound drops out on the receive end while trying to talk on the phone even indoors making it almost unusable for calls. The almost one second delay makes them poor for watching video as well. I mainly like them for listening to music/audio, which they are perfect for. Sound quality and bass is very good. Battery life seems to be about 2 hours or more. They stay in my ears very well, are lightweight, and there is of course no noise from a cord bumping into things. They are fast, easy and fun to use for music. I have not had to contact support so far myself.
I originally received my headphones a month or so ago and had problems, no pun intented, straight out the box. I contacted them and after trying to lead me through a number of solutions they found I had one of the VERY FEW defective headphones. I have been reading mostly positive reviews, so I believe them and I think these are still likely a great product. After waiting 2 weeks to get an rma #, I received one and sent them back. That was 2.5 weeks ago. I was told when I returned them that the following week replacements were coming. Then last week after not hearing I was told that they still hadn't come in and gave me no further info. I've sent 2 emails since and no reply. Has anyone else had issues with their headphones and with the service ?
Yesterday charge was found, headphones into the indicator 2 does not light,
only the instructions that sign lamp 1 lightning bright for a while went out, put on headphones to take out to connect the phone to indicate that the power is low,
but into the charging box also charge is not into electricity
Ive connected my limited edition headsets today after being out of town for 3 weeks. Sound is good only problem is, Im having a very bad problems with a little static and either side blanking out for a few seconds back and forth. I have a Galaxy Note>
I just want to say I received the limited edition headsets.
I've had no problems with connection to an iPhone and I'm readily surprised with the distance the headsets maintain a connection (between two concrete walls 7 metres apart).
I can't comment on battery life but I wear it in the mornings and afternoons at work without ever running into a low battery warning until the end of each morning or afternoon (1-3 hours) I'll test more with a timer soon.
I had issues with mine and sent them back 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing since. It is now over a month since I received my original pair which was deemed to not be working properly...however...now it appears I am seeing posts about s7 issues? I really would like someone to get back to me with the status of my replacements and what the s7 connectivity issues are and can they be fixed
First, let me say that overall, I am very happy with my Apollo 7 headphones. I have the black Limited Edition model.
However, I do have these problems that I would like to hear what solutions you have or plan to have under warranty.
1) The phone microphone connection is really not usable. I have to take out the earpieces and transfer back to the iPhone 6 plus in order to have others hear me.
2) I get more than just intermittent cut outs from my LEFT ear bud.
3) battery life is well below 3 hours ( I now recharge after every session of use - usually an hour or so at the Westport Y).
Should I write to the customer service e-mail?
Have it since around a month, absolutely love them, I use them only for music while doing sports (and it never fell off). The sound quality is very impressive, connection and synchronization is a snap, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Gratz Erato
When listening to audiboooks, from Audible for example, the left earpiece has a error on the sound. Not sure how to describe it. the tone is off, anyway. Part echo part someone twisting sound to a screech. Not so much that it stops me from using them but it definitely is a distraction. The sound on the right is just fine. I have so far only experienced this with speech on audiobooks, which is what I use my headphones for the most. Anyone else?
The past 1-2 weeks have been hectic. We're pushing out all of the remaining orders and dealing with some of the import / export issues to some countries. As you know, we cannot determine 100% all of the countries and their taxation laws, and we can't really break them either. We try our best to maneuver around them.
Regarding microphone situations - it is very tough per user and environment it has different results. In wired earphones or older traditional bluetooth headsets that stick out, it's closer to the mouth hence better quality but it is an issue we are actively looking into.
We are one of few companies that do provide Comply tips along with the package. The Comply tip we use are the T-600 (http://www.complyfoam.com/products/t-600/)
We have received information about Samsung S7 issues with connectively.. anyone else have this issue ? S7 only.
The call quality for me is reasonable. My earphones work pretty well for calling. Maybe that is just my experience with it. Sorry to hear that you guys have peoblems with it.
I too bought this for both music and calls. I'm annoyed about the sound quality for calls. They can't hear me well on the other side. The call volume is also inexplicably low too so I can't hear them well even when the quality is good. It's frustrating because music can be extremely loud so I don't get why call volume is so low. And I don't get their customer service. I know it's Kickstarter and we all want every backer to receive this product. But it's mid August now and there are multiple complaints here about this, without a single response or other way to ask questions. A bit disappointed in a product /service that could have been so much better.
a bit disappointed with the call quality. I kinda gave up on talking on the phone with the earbuds.
My first comply tips (small) broke, so I start to use the medium size. I also use a sharp razor to trim down the large comply tips to match the medium size. It works and fit well. These 2 extra tips will last me about another 3 months, then I will have to order new comply tips directly from the company. The replacement tips is about $14 for 2 sets.
