Geraldo has been drawing buses for the past 9 years. We want to wrap a DART bus with one of his designs, let's make this happen! Read more

About this project
Geraldo "The King of Transit" Gonzalez has been drawing public transit vehicles since 2004. Having completed over a thousand drawings, Geraldo sees the artwork as the perfect marriage between his love for drawing and public transit.
Geraldo generates his artwork through photography. Working from these photos, Geraldo begins the labor-intensive process of heavy-handedly adding color with colored pencils. When Geraldo is not making art, he can be found taking photos and video on the SEPTA, New Jersey Transit, or DART public transit lines.
The King of Transit Bus Wrap Project aims to take one of Geraldo's bus drawings and translate it into a full advertising wrap over a DART bus. We then intend to keep this bus on the road for a period of 2 months. The cost of the large scale printing, the bus prep, wrap, and clean up totals $5,800. The two month advertising rental totals $1,700 at the non-profit rate, bringing the total cost to $7,500. Minus the administrative fees of Kickstarter, we need to raise $8,000 to realize the project.
Your support will expose and inspire thousands of Northern Delaware residents with Geraldo's vision of public transit. More importantly, the successful completion of the King of Transit Bus Wrap Project will be a life affirming event that the Bus Man will never forget!
Risks and challenges
Transforming one of Geraldo's drawings to a full bus wrap will require some high end design and lay out work. The Creative Vision Factory is uniquely situated within the Wilmington Art Community and will undoubtedly be able to work with a number of talented graphic designers to help fully translate one of Geraldo's drawings to the full-scale of an actual DART bus.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
