About

We are humbly asking for $7,000.00 to help fund the full production of San Francisco based writer/composer Nicky Weinbach's first full-length, live-action musical comedy, 'Made In China.' A donation to this project will help with venue costs, props, costumes and set design, and will ensure a small stipend for each artist involved with this production.  Your support will guarantee that independent projects like this one continue to be possible.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

From San Francisco writer and composer Nicholas Weinbach comes an original musical about an up-and-coming postman, Max, who must deliver a mysterious music box to an address that doesn’t exist. In a moment of curiosity, Max shakes the box, and a house magically appears, along with Amber the girl of his dreams. Or so he thought...

Backed by a live 6- piece chamber orchestra, 'Made in China's
melody-driven songs and quirky humor will engage you in an exciting adventure that will remind you of what it feels like to be a kid again.

'Made In China' is directed by Nick Dickson, choreographed by Alexandra Daily, and features a charming, all-star cast comprised of Marisa Gregory, Katy Yost, Nicholas Weinbach, Max Weinbach, Max Colter, Gabrielle Poccia, Alison Kawa, and a live six-piece chamber orchestra that includes two violins, cello, flute, percussion, and piano.

'Made in China' plays every Friday and Saturday in February 2013 at 8:00 PM at Bindlestiff Studio, 185 6th Street, San Francisco. Tickets for 'Made in China' are on sale now. To purchase tickets, visit http://madeinchinamusical.wordpress.com/tickets.  See you at the show!

Risks and challenges

We've assembled a powerhouse production team to ensure that we can overcome any obstacle that stands in our way, but oftentimes the unforeseen does happen. As it stands, we are right on track with our budget and schedule. Our main goal is to continue getting the word out to theater goers everywhere about 'Made In China' as we believe that one of the most important elements of any artistic endeavor is that there be an audience to see it and appreciate it. This is why we can't thank you enough for your support, whether financially or by telling your friends and family about this show, we wouldn't be able to do it without you. Hope to see you opening night!

Best,
Nicholas Weinbach, Clinton Winder, DL Soares
