HERO BOOSTER is a project I've had ticking for over for quite some time.
The idea was simple. I wanted to make an easy and accessible card game with a nostalgic Kamen Rider-y, Power Rangers-y feel to it. I'd already had a lot of the character designs done from webcomics and other projects so the whole thing very easily fell in to place.
I wanted to emulate superheroes having fast paced, and kinda silly, power-ups in a card game, which is how the hex-card format came to be.
Each player starts with a set amount of Hit Points, and the objective of the game is to reduce your opponents HP to zero by summoning Heroes and boosting their power through ATK, DEF and Special cards. Drawing enough GUTS cards to allow you to bring you Hero to the battlefield and start boosting!
Say for example your opponent has a Hero with 6 defence and you have a Hero with 8 attack, if you attack your opponent loses 2 HP.
(The rules are still slightly being tampered with at this stage, but those are the basics)
HERO BOOSTER is light-hearted game, suitable for all ages. Particularly enjoyable if you like Henshin Heroes as I've include a few nods to tropes.

My background is in self-publishing comics. Which I normally fund out of my own pocket.
Card games on the other hand are incredibly expensive to print in comparison. Those who are aware of my work will know that this is a project I've wanted to get off of the ground for quite some time.
Using Kickstarter will allow me to see this project through whilst also being able to reach a wider audience.
Nothing too complicated with the rewards. I just want to the get the game out there.
Each physical pledge reward comes with 1 ready to play HERO BOOSTER game plus some stickers and prints of the art work.
I'm also offering an Expansion Pack full of different Heroes and Power-Ups and neat pin badge of the HERO BOOSTER logo.
Earlier in the year I printed a prototype, before I settled on the name I just printed DUZIDA!! on the back, after the webcomic some of the characters are from.
Early play-tests went down very well.
Though I have given myself a deadline of May 2019 to allow time for futher play testing and blind testing to ensure HERO BOOSTER is the best it can be.
Quite simply, all of the funding for this project is going on printing of the game, the extras and postage.
I could make a chart, but that would seem silly. I just want to fund this project and let it loose on the world.
-The limit on the Expansions packs will be removed, making more available.
-The use of a d20 for keeping track on your HP in game will be upraded to an HP dial with a custom HERO BOOSTER design (art work currently pending)

Also as an added bonus for reaching full funding, each backer will recive a Kickstarter exclusive card which will be won't be available anywhere else.
Risks and challenges
Risks and challenges for this project I believe are minimal.
The artwork, thought some touching up is required here and there, is done. Some new cards need to be drawn. But I have allowed 4 months from the completion of the campaign to give myself time to do any extra work that is required so I can deliever the best product to you that I possible can.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
