The first ever hockey goalie mask that uses a clear visor to protect the goalies face instead of a metal cage.
About this project
The Visor Goalie Mask is the first of it's kind. This mask will allow goalies to see pucks like never before. In order to make this a consumer product though, I first need to raise enough money to build a tougher and more complete visor. After that I need to have the visor tested and approved by the HECC so that it can be sold. I will then need to raise money to be able to build more of the visors for the various styles of goalie masks. I have a very large connection of goalies that I know around the country that would love to wear the visor if I could make it a reality. Once I get the supply, I will go to everyone I new and continue to seek out new clients around the world.
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge with this product is getting is strong enough to be tested and approved by the HECC. In order to do this the mask has to be able to survive a puck being shot at it from 10" away at 80 miles per hour. The other challenge with this product is the need to create different styles of the visor to fit the various kinds of masks made by different companies.
