Magpie is the smartest GPS service out there. It keeps the people and things you love close, no matter the distance.
We believe premium technology should be available to everyone. That’s why we’ve built a GPS tracker that’s not only smart and small, but also affordable. By offering free trackers with a subscription-based model to our growing community behind us here on Kickstarter, we can bring Magpie to everyone.
With Magpie, you can literally track anything, anytime, anywhere in the world.
Attach your Magpie to anything you want to keep track of
Magpie is so lightweight and so small it fits anywhere and hides easy. You can clip, stick or hook it onto anything making it the perfect sidekick for everyone.
Always know where your kids are with geo-fence alerts. If they wander too far from your "safe zone," you'll be instantly alerted. And, if your kids need you, they can squeeze Magpie to ring your phone, even when it's on silent.
People on the go
Transform anything into smart luggage. Simply pack a Magpie and always know where your bags, laptop, wallet, purse or any essentials are.
Things that go
Keep track of everything that moves (think: bikes, cars, drones—you name it). And, if they're on-the-go and shouldn't be, Magpie will alert you with its built-in accelerometer.
Know where your pet goes and if it leaves a specific area. Magpie is waterproof, dirtproof and able to be clipped flush onto the collar or hooked (as shown here) so you can locate your pet anywhere, and through anything.
We do mean track anything...
How Magpie works
Magpie is so easy to use, simply squeeze to sync, attach and you’re ready to go.
1. Sync your Magpie to your phone
2. Attach your Magpie to something or someone you love
3. Find your Magpie from anywhere (185 countries)
How Magpie is different
Magpie is the most affordable, truly global tracker. Others out there are either Bluetooth-powered with short reach, or expensive and theoretical. We’re also set up with a subscription-based service, so there is no cost for the device and the cost of the GPS service is significantly less.
GPS (185 countries)
Magpie is made with the latest technology, making it one of the smallest products on the market with tracking capabilities across the world. Get it wherever you live. Take it wherever you travel. Scroll down to see all 185 supported countries.
Magpie's battery is rechargeable, so you'll never run out of juice.
On a single charge Magpie will last anywhere from 1 day to 3 months depending on the tracking frequency you’ve put in place; by the minute, by the hour, by the day.
Waterproof and strong
Magpie is waterproof, dustproof and designed to withstand anything daily life throws at it.
Magpie will let you know when it goes beyond the boundaries you’ve put in place, so you can set and forget until you’re alerted.
Magpie can alert you when something moves from the exact spot you left it. So you’ll know if your car, bike or anything isn’t where it should be.

Risks and challenges
At Magpie, we value keeping our promises above all else.
We’ve assembled a team of experts in both product development and manufacturing, and also have a world-class manufacturing partner that has brought close to 200 products to market for some of the world’s biggest brands. Together, we’ve built multiple groundbreaking hardware projects, including Magpie, and are confident that we can achieve our planned milestones in the timeline we’ve promised.
Still, while we are committed to delivering Magpie as soon as possible, things like time requirements for certifications, our relationships with chip manufacturers, product size constraints, political instability, etc., are outside of our control.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
