About this project
The story of Bike Lift & Carry started when I (Henry) and my wife Mary went for a leisurely bike ride in our native Kiev, Ukraine, a city more than 1,500 years old with many hills and stairs that allow people to climb to the best viewing points.
That translates into a lot of bike lifting and carrying, which led to the idea of creating a product that allows any adult to easily carry a bike over the shoulder with a strap.
After researching the idea, we found that many people all over the world are forced to lift and carry their bikes when they are commuting, shopping, sightseeing, etc.
We have assembled an international team of industrial designers and engineers to design and develop multiple prototypes. Using our life savings, we have filed for a patent, produced and tested a number of functional prototypes, developed packaging and found a world-class manufacturing facility to produce Bike Lift & Carry.
Our team attended Interbike 2013 in Las Vegas to show the working prototype to retailers and distributors, receiving an excellent feedback.
Production specialists with extensive experience in launching innovative products are on board and ready to supervise the production process.
Now we need funding to finish tooling and begin actual production.
In the past 18 months, we have invested $25,000 of our own money into industrial design, mechanical engineering and prototype production. We field tested multiple prototypes to arrive at the best combination of materials, functionality and durability. Below are the next steps and project timelines:
Henry Teterin- Inventor/Project Manager
Mary Teterin- Graphic Designer. Actress in the video.

Risks and challenges
We believe in this project so much that we have used our life savings to fund it so far. We have managed to get to this stage while having a revolution and a war in our country. So, now- nothing can stop us.
Our experienced team is ready to supervise the tooling and production process. Manufacturing facility is contracted and ready to start the tooling.
We need the funding to pay for the tooling and start production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
