An Extended Play or "EP" is a compilation of songs that covers the middle ground between a single and a full-length album. EPs are usually around 4 to 6 songs in length and are generally made using original tracks never released before by an artist.
Prior to the release of EP No.1, we were regularly performing 10 songs and very eager to record them. However, time, money and resources allowed us to only work on 5 songs at a time. As we were producing EP 1, we realized there was a very clear and present narrative forming within the 10 songs as a whole. We released EP 1 as only half of the story that EP 2 would complete. We didn't necessarily write the songs to work that way. Oddly, the story seemed to kind of write itself.
Production Nuts & Bolts
We have been in pre-production for over 2 months and have 5 songs studio ready. Recording, mixing, mastering, publishing, copyrighting, album design, duplication, product launch, distribution, merchandising, public relations/ promotion; these are all areas we stumbled through the first time around. All that stumbling, which is typical of any indie/ DIY project, has helped pave a solid path for our next release. We know our costs, we know time frames, we know who to work with (having assembled a crack team for our last release), and we know how and where we need to "trim the fat" and improve.
Studio hours have been booked for July 2nd, 3rd & 5th of 2017. In addition to the core 4 (Dougie VanSant - Vocals/ Guitar, Danny White - Guitar/ Vocals, Mario Estrada - Bass/ Vocals & Daniel Perry - Drums/ Vocals), the EP will feature a number of session musicians on keys, strings, horns, auxiliary percussion, vocals, and more.
When we return home from the tour, we will complete production of EP 2 and prepare for its multi-platform, worldwide release (Fall 2017). We're planning to present our local release show (Coachella Valley, CA) in even grander fashion than last time and the best part is, you can be directly involved in the biggest, baddest party going down this fall.
Having already accomplished a successful statewide tour, our Booking/ PR Agency (Sherpa Music MGMT) believes we are ready expand into new, larger markets by way of a National Headlining Tour. Some of the cities we will visit include:

Our Success Rate
Since we formed, playing live shows has always been a constant for us. We started out with local gigs. With the help of Sherpa Music MGMT, our LA-based Booking/ PR Agent, we began booking outside the Coachella Valley doing "1 off" and "2 off" shows throughout Southern CA and NV. They assisted us in kicking off 2017 with the 'Omnifrequency Tour', a six-show, CA mini-tour.
About the Documentary
Our friend Wolf will join us on July 1st, 2017. Over a period of approximately 2 months, he will shoot hundreds of hours of footage (studio, live performances, interviews, behind the scenes, on the road, backer shout outs/ donor dares) some of which will be included as backer rewards.
The Real Story
We are embarking on the most monumental journey of our lives. The camera will be running for every exciting moment, every challenging situation, every drop of blood, sweat, and tears we shed. We're betting within all those hours of footage, a story will bubble to the surface, like EPs 1 & 2, a story that will have written itself.
The Exclusive Tour Video & Exclusive Tour Video: Donor Dare Edition will be released as backer rewards by October 2017. Stay tuned for the release date of the documentary. We'll keep you informed!

Risks and challenges
Taking on a huge project like this (which is really 3 projects rolled into one) is no easy task. Like all juice that's worth the squeeze, there will be risks and challenges along the way...
Are The Flusters Ready to Record This EP?
We learned a lot from the release of our first EP. Perhaps the most important thing we learned was with proper research, budgeting, organization and follow through, anything is possible. We are now more seasoned, practiced, and mature as a band and ready to take on the task again in even grander fashion than our first time around.
Can The Flusters Handle a National Tour?
A string of shows of this scale will definitely present its fair share of risks and challenges. No matter what the logistical challenges may be from venue to venue, we need to offer each market the same great show we offer our hometown. Thorough preparation is key. We can't very well deliver a consistent show if we're bouncing from town to town scrambling for day-of, loaner equipment or backtracking because someone forgot their power supplies at the last venue. If something malfunctions, (which it has before and likely will again) we need a backup of everything (even our suits). Even if the power goes out, we're prepared to deliver a show.
We never forget there are two words in the term "Music Business". Being competent and trustworthy professionals on and off stage is very important to us. We do much more than just play our instruments. We manage, we design, we produce, we administrate, we prepare, we organize, we correspond, we promote, we merchandise, we market, we roadie, we repair: We simply do whatever needs to be done. We set realistic goals and make sure they're always met. We make detailed lists, check them, then check them again.
Understanding that risks and challenges are a reality is half the battle. Some risks & challenges are easily foreseeable, and in those cases, we work to identify, clarify, and adequately prepare. The other side of the coin however, are the unforeseen risks & challenges, the curve balls life seems to throw at all of us when we least expect them. We work everyday to cultivate a strong, solution-based, mental attitude that's gotten us to where we are today.
At the end of the day, we're a family. Three days in the studio, then six weeks on the road with four other guys will be physically and psychologically draining at times. Playing shows night after night is tiring enough. Throw in a tour bus, close quarters, late hours, hot weather, fast food, a snoring Mario, a cranky Danny, a distracted Perry, a yelling Dougie, a filming Wolf, and you've got Bravo's next reality show. We've always navigated through the hard times together as brothers and we've learned to love and respect one another to the fullest. We keep a very open line of communication and constantly bring things to the table that deserve recognition or require change. We're not just building a band together, we're building a life together.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
