Sorry to say Kristy we have already 3 1/2 months in que before they start shipping. But hopefully it will be well worth the wait for this gem of a jacket

      Hey guys,

I live in Toronto, where it gets substantially colder than what I think the Mercury can handle on it's own. I'm currently shopping for the best option to layer with this. Should I be looking for an insulating layer on the inside, or a hard shell to wear over it?

      Cheers

I just realised I got the vest instead of the jacket. How can I change the order?

    20. Ministry of Supply 3-time creator on

      Hey @Tyler,

Our sleeve lengths are based off of a 3 point measuring system, similar to a traditional dress shirt. To find your sleeve length just these simple steps:

      1. Measure from the nape of your neck to tip of your shoulder
      2. Measure from the the tip of your shoulder to your wrist
      3. Add both measurements up for your sleeve length!

If you have a dress shirt, you can also grab your sleeve length from that on the tag!

    21. Ministry of Supply 3-time creator on

      Hey @David,

Oh no! Please send us an email at q@ministryofsupply.com and we can see what we can do!

    22. Ministry of Supply 3-time creator on

      Hey @Austin,

Great question! The best indicator of fit is your chest measurement in inches to ensure you have enough space throughout the body of the jacket. Keep in mind our size chart is based on body measurements in inches, not garment measurements. If you're in-between sizes, we recommend sizing down because of this! Don't hesitate to email us at q@ministryofsupply.com if you'd like to send your measurements to us for more help!

      Tyler on

For the sleeve measurement, where do I measure from? Do I measure from the shoulder down or from the back of my neck? For the measurements, should I measure skin tight or with a couple inches of room? I'm not quite sure if the size chart measurements are the actual lengths of the jacket or if the measurements are supposed to give your own size and the jacket will be a bit bigger. Thanks, Tyler

I typically wear a large jacket, but according to the guide I would need to go up to atleast an XXL. I find it a little odd that I would need to get 2 sizes larger than what I normally would wear, but I don’t want to get the wrong size

      Dear MoS,
So if your plan is that you get the survey answered until the end of the week, you should answer the questions the backers have. Without information about the sizes and also the question if the add-ons will come with the jacket or at another time - an important question as we have to pay for additional shipping.
Thanks, looking forward to getting all your stuff, but hopefully in a fitting size.

Rick, exactly that’s why I want to know how they measure the sleeve too!!! I have long arms too 23 inches but chest is 35 (quite thin) but from their chart, I could not pick a size!!

The sizing chart does not make any sense. The Men's L shows 42" chest and sleeve 34 " My arm length is inside 22" and from shoulder to cuff 23 " and I have quite long arms ! Are you sure the sizes are correct as shown on backer kit. Are we able to amend the survey sizes in light of further information from you ?

Hi, I'm getting the women's version for my wife and would like to know the sleeve length? The reason being that she's sort of in between a S and M. So the length of the sleeve will be the finally determining factor. Thanks!!!

Hey MoS, is the Mercury jacket on the same sizing scale as the Aurora coat? Would I be able to, say, drop by your store to try on the Aurora to get an idea on how the Mercury would fit?

I’m assuming once we’ve received our jacket, we won’t be able to exchange it for a different size that’s in stock?

      Jacky Tung on

      Hi MOS,

For the men jacket size, how do you measure the sleeve? From where to where? Is it in inches in your chart? Thanks

    45. Ministry of Supply 3-time creator on

      Hey Gerardo,

Great question! Our Mercury Jacket runs true to size. If you plan on wearing with a thicker layer underneath like a sweater or fleece (while not necessary since the jacket will keep you plenty warm), we'd recommend going up a size to ensure you have enough room in the chest and body.

Hope this helps and thanks so much for your support!

Wow I would be totally in for @Michael Zita -s suggestion!!!:

"Currently, I have chosen the black version, so there are probably no patches included but if there would be a black version with patches it would be great to have a blank one to write the name on it instead of five country flags I won't need. For us in Europe an EU flag would be cool, when there aren't 27/28 national patches included :D... What size do the patches have, if I would decide to switch color?"
