Observations of the Obsolete isn't just another typical love story!  By revealing Davis & Amy's love and loss mostly from the perspective of an engagement ring, this silent short is exploring relationships at a whole new angle...literally!

This 4-page script tells the story of Davis, a man who works hard and saves up his money so he can buy the love of his life, Amy, the most beautiful engagement ring money can buy.  He and Amy soon drift apart as he spends more and more of his time working for a ring than on his relationship.  After Davis has finally saved enough money to buy the ring, he plans a romantic proposal dinner, but the damage is done.  Amy no longer loves him, and tells Davis she can't marry him.  Distraught, Davis struggles to get Amy off his mind just in time to give love another chance.

We're expecting the final product to be around 10 minutes or less.  We've already secured the script's two locations, a house and a jewelry store, and have our Canon 5D ready for action, so production costs are fairly modest.  The funds we receive will go towards equipment for lighting and camera operations.

Independent filmmaking can be a difficult process, but you can help make it a lot easier by just donating, even one dollar, to this project. Thank you for your time and support.

Best,
