Hey there Goblins, Gamers and Art Gurus! I'm Grack da Goblin and I'm here ta give you da goods on Grubfist.
It's a unique game of a most unusual kind we like to play here in da cave when we are stuck inside or in a gamin' mood. The game is fast n' fun and involves us all tradin' stuff we might find in our ol' goblin pouch, like spiders, frogs, ands, stones an other shiny stuff.
Each Goblin secretly chooses something to collect and passes to tha others what they thinkin' they don't need till one lucky Goblin gets four of a kind and tries to grub up a gem from the middle of the stash! Careful now... there's a catch, there ain't exactly enough gems for all da Goblins playing, so ya better be quick...or be a real good bluffer! Dat's right, you can bluff, trick, cajole and otherwise horn swindle the other players into a false move...but maybe you're a good enough gambler dat they won't call you out...
Dis game is great for Goblin folks young and old alike, and always ends with smiles...or the occasional black eye! Just kidden' now! No punching allowed in Grubfist! Sometimes when Shaun and Monte visit the Goblin Cave we all play Grubfist and when they asked if their gamin' company MYNDzei (Mind's Eye) could make our game for other Goblins to enjoy we said "GRAUNCH!"--that means GREAT!
Wanna see how to play the game? Thought you'd never ask! It's fun...easy to learn...and fun for the whole tribe!
But we wasn't sure how to entice all you Goblins, Gamers and Art Gurus how to pay attention to our gametastic game plan, so after several rounds of Goblin grog, we decided that we'd raid the Goblin King's art stash in the back of the cave where he been secretly hoarding a treasure trove of Monte Moore's artwork! (don't tell okay?) You can see some of da images here of da 10 sketches dat are available...!
And if dat ain't enough, check out these here paintings also from da Wench game, an these ain't never been offered for sale EVER, I hope the Goblin King doesn't find out!
And Monte and Shaun kicked in mountains of game loot from their already wildly successful games like the best-selling party game Wench: Top Shelf and my favorite (cause it's got coins!) Pirates of Gold Cove.
These guys been making games for over 10 years now and Monte's art been on games and products like D&D, Ultra-Pro sleeves, Harry Potter, Magic TCG, Lord of the Rings, L5R, Warlord, Shadowrun, DragonLance n' more.
Check out this Goblin Hoard, one of da best reward packages you kin get!
So basically...dey know what their doin'! So dig deep, help these guys keep up the great work, and get yourself (or friends) some great games, original artwork...or even a special art commission just for you of your favorite comics character, pin-up, family member or other awesome idea stuck up in yer skull!
Here is another brand new reward fresh from the drawing table and smoking' hot!
Thanks for visiting the Goblin Cave, I'm Grack and I'm ...(burp!) oops...sorry, I'm saying please support da GRUBFIST Kickstarter and get yer grubby hands on some GREAT GOODS!
Risks and challenges
This game like many of our others, has been in development and play testing for several years, we even sold hand-made Beta copies at GenCon in 2013 and sold out of the ones we made. Now is the time to bring the game to the masses with your help. We will do our best to be timely, courteous, communicative and professional with all our backers, and Monte has already launched a wildly successful kickstarter in 2013 which went off without a hitch. As Grack mentioned, we've been at this for 10 years, and we've had our share of industry setbacks with distributors, co-producers and more, and we've overcome them all with due time and perseverance. Currently we are already working with our existing sourcing companies for the components we need to make Grubfist available to the mass market, so we don't see any giant hurdles facing us at this time..which is why NOW is the time to bring this game to you. We've shown the game twice at the GTS/GAMA industry tradeshow in Vegas, and had great Games Retailer response, which is why we are confident that this game will be well received by the gaming community. If there are challenges in production or shipping, we will happily let you know what we are doing to meet and exceed those problems, and make your trust in us well-founded. Thanks for checking out our campaign, it's with the support of fans and gamers like yourself that help us small companies not get swallowed and crushed (we've seen it happen over and over) by the larger ones, so that we can continue to bring indie game projects to those that like ourselves...love to get their GAME ON! - Monte and Shaun - those MYNDzei guys!
