Our playtesting pod in Tucson offered this opinion:
"Although our group is a college-aged poker playing crowd, Ocho could easily be aimed toward a younger audience as well. This game is great for teaching kids how to prioritize card choices, and simple enough for anyone to pick up and learn. This was one of the better games that we have demo'ed, and all our friends loved it."
Neal "Dredlox" Razi, Southeast Regional Heroclix Champion from Tampa, said this:
"Ocho is actually awesome. It reminds me of my theory of "the ultimate game", since it is learned in a minute but cannot be mastered. The game play is fast, and I really was laughing the first game I played. It was a refreshing gaming experience, coming from a Collectible Card Game mentality. Each player has the ability to "go off" and make strong plays but the game is balanced enough to allow major shifts in advantage. I played it with David "The Founder" Akers and he liked it so much that he took the deck home to play with his wife. If I were to summarize: Ocho The Game is amazingly fun for everyone. You and your friends will have the game out of the box and in play in minutes. You will find yourself completely engrossed and loving every second of it."
Erica "MindOnAir" Walker, an avid trading card game player in Ireland, added this:
"By far this is the most fun I've had playing cards in a long time. Thank you for introducing me to Ocho. I've been playing it with my extended family, and it really is perfect for everyone."
