The brand has two apparel lines consisting of Gone Beachin' Unsalted for the fresh water lifestyle and Gone Beachin' Salted for the ocean lifestyle. With over 3,000 miles of shoreline in Michigan alone, the market opportunity is huge and the need for quality beach apparel is a must. Every design is unique with the use of vibrant colors and manufactured with premium quality fabric that is soft to the touch.
Gone Beachin' aspires to follow the business model of Ron Jon Surf Shop for Michigan and around the nation. The reason the company can expand further is because the two apparel lines fit well for demographics on every shoreline around the nation. Also the brand has more than just their name screen printed on shirts, but will continuously have new designs inspired by the beachin' lifestyle.
The founders, Andrew Russo and Dustin Cronkright, grew up near Michigan beachtowns. They also lived in Florida for a college program where they spent most of their weekends beachin’. The recognition for beachin’ was so much greater in Florida in comparison to Michigan that the owners decided to launch their own company in 2013. The brand creates awareness for Michigan beaches in the summer with Unsalted apparel and catches the snowbirds and spring breakers with Salted apparel.
Gone Beachin' is seeking funding for developing new designs and styles to manufacture their private label for each apparel line, hire Michigan employees to continue designing and printing locally and eventually building their first store on the lakeshore. Your contribution to Gone Beachin' manufacturing will be applied to design premium quality bikinis, board shorts, sundresses, sweatshirts, towels, bags, sandals, longboards, surfboards, paddleboards and more!
Gone Beachin' is currently located at The Hut No. 8 in Grandville, MI, 108 Threads which is in Pentwater, MI and Ludington, MI, West Michigan Clothing Company in Grand Rapids, MI and online at www.gonebeachin.com. It will soon be located on ShopMyNorth.com which was created by the MyNorth magazine in Traverse City, MI. The funding of $8,000 will give Gone Beachin' the ability to produce large quantities of products for more specialty shops along the lakeshore, have new inventory for chicks and dudes on the Gone Beachin' website, connect with beach-goers at events like Surf Expo (over $4000 for a booth) or Coast Guard Festival ($2500 for a space), and pave the way to opening their own store along the shoreline of Michigan.

The major risks and challenges that Gone Beachin' faces could be from local competition, broken equipment, and manufacturer delayed production. Gone Beachin' acknowledges these setbacks and has prepared ways to overcome them.
The major competition that Gone Beachin' faces are apparel brands like Billabong and M-22. Most of brands aren't designed and printed in Michigan and the Traverse City brand, M-22, has a market so specific that it leaves Gone Beachin’ plenty of open ground to cover along the shoreline. As a graphic designer, Andrew Russo creates quality, unique, and professional designs. Dustin’s idea generation paves the duo a path to the most creative designs on the market. His expertise in distribution insures that products arrive in the hand of the customer. The apparel merchandiser, Mary Misner, hand picks the trends throughout the year to guarantee that the brand stays ahead of the curve.
If there is broken machinery the company can quickly repair it by ordering parts directly from manufacturers, local retailers, or hiring a local repairman to do the necessary repairs.
If there is manufacturer delayed production Gone Beachin' has communication with other manufacturing companies to produce the necessary products. They also have wholesale accounts with the products stocked rush orders. The apparel can be screen printed directly from the Gone Beachin' headquarters.
