Hi before i begin i would like to thanks you for taking the time to look at my project, i must also note that i am NOT an artist what so ever so all the images you will see are just for proof of concept and if the project is successful i will get an actual artist to redo all of my work. I have always loved tabletop board games ever since i was small and recently decided to make one of my own with help from my kids. Alpha Prime is a 2 player game in which you control 5 heroes pitted against your opponent to fulfil your goal of levelling up your hero faster to take down your enemy's towers and activate your prime and destroying your enemy's.
Each hero has 3 unique abilities that can be used in order to slay your opponent or help out other heroes in your team take lane to destroy enemy towers and collect fusion cores.
Fusion cores are what powers the towers to defend the prime and on destroying it you receive one to take back to your spawn to power up your prime. You need 4 cores to be able to use your prime then you can take him across the board and slay the enemy for victory. The tower will attack you if you go withing 5" of it so make sure your minions go in it first so you can attack the tower. Towers will also auto target you if you attack an enemy inside the tower range.
At the start of the round you will have 8 Action point tokens which you use for moving and attacking, so you will need to plan out what you want to do. you can use all the action points on one character if you wish just make sure you don't leave any hero vulnerable if you do decide to do that.
There is also 2 types of rules for debuffs such as bleed and stuns etc, one is per turn which usually wont happen on a debuff such as bleed but it might on an overload of your shields. The second is per Play this one is used for stuns and bleeds, for example you bleed a target for 3 plays which means every action point play they would take a wound on their character.
As you choose what heroes to put in each of the 3 lanes leading to the enemy side you will be accompanied on turn 2 by waves of minions spawning and heading down each of their lanes.
As you kill waves of minions you will receive xp and thus levelling your character up and gaining points to spend on implants whice are equipment cards you can choose as a deck for each hero before the game starts. You can have a max of 10 implants in a deck per character but only 4 can be equipped at any given time and a max of 40 points total on equipped implants. They can be upgraded to be even more effective but cost points as well so you will have to build your deck to your play style for that hero.
As time goes on i will continue to add new heroes to the mix as well as adding new implant cards and minions. My main goal is to get Actual miniatures sculpted for this project.
Here is just a quick look at the layout of what the table should look like with both players starting at either corner of the board. you can design the board any way you want as long as the lanes are the same and the towers are in that position. The jungle you can design anyway as long as they are the same for both sides to not have a disadvantage for one player.
