About

So I've built this grappeling hook launcher that lets you swing through the air like Spider-Man. Now I'm turning it into a travelling theme park ride, so YOU can try this too.

Swinging not for you?
Buy a ticket for the Target Range.
Just putting on the arm launchers and launching a grappling hook at a target is incredibly satisfying. No swinging required.
I'll also make some automated moving targets so you can work on your accuracy and skill level. Definitely worth a visit.
What will the full experience be like?
Everyone will start by trying on the rope launchers and aiming at targets before any swinging is done. So you can still have fun without going to the next step.
Then you can do some small practice swings and basic manoeuvres. And those who are good enough will be let into the main arena where you can shoot and swing in any direction you want.
How scary is this?
No bravery is required. I started doing small swings and worked my way up. Even the smallest swings are fun.
I'm also wearing a special body harness that takes all the weight off your arms and shoulders so you don't need to worry about having enough strength to do this.

What countries will you visit?
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- Australia
- Germany
- France
- Sweden
- Japan
- Netherlands
- Singapore
These are the top 10 countries that use Kickstarter so they will be visited first. I'll post the exact tour dates once I know how much demand there is.
If I suddenly get a lot of donations from South Korea then I’ll add Seoul to the tour. Same goes for any other country outside the top 10.

What if you don’t come to my country?
You can have a refund, or you can hold onto your ticket and use it in another country.

How long do I have to wait?
To make a small batch of a hundred or so rope launchers and targets will take me 6 months. Then I’ll go on the road.

Who are you?
Hi, I'm Trajan, a 34 year old inventor from the UK with over a decade of electrical and mechanical engineering experience. I've always loved Spider-Man and Batman so I thought it was about time someone made this happen.

Risks and challenges
Making this safe enough for public use is the big one.
This is essentially a theme park ride, so I've been using British safety standard HSG 175 as my guide. Specifically this means swapping out arduinos with safety PLCs and watchdog circuits.
And with your funding I can immediately hire someone to get started on compliance with your own countries rules and regulations. For the USA I need to follow ASTM F24. For the EU it is EN13181. China, GB840. Australia, AS 3533.
