Never released second album by this legendary Chapel Hill punk rock band. We want to make 300 vinyl records with hand screened covers.
A Number of Things is a punk rock quartet hailing from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their first record "ToasterHead" hit the streets in the early 80's. They fused the hard core rock of COC with a South Park sense of humor. Before they went off to college, they recorded a second record but it only made its way to a few lucky souls through a super-limited cassette release. Long thought lost, several rare cassette tapes were discovered in the basement of drummer Jody Maxwell. Singer Stephe "m.c. block" Akin brought these cassettes to master music manipulator John Plymale. Plymale spent hours equalizing, mastering and mixing the best out of this sonic treasure. Our goal is to raise $3000 to produce 300 vinyl records. The cover art has already been created by famed underground artist Kevin Dixon, and silk-screening genius Ron Liberti has his press ready to go to print the covers. The music is pure 80's punk, the lyrics are outrageous, spot-on, and hilarious.
