Zombie Fight or Flight
Zombie Fight or Flight is a collaborative card game. You and a small group of survivors of an initial wave of zombies must work together to reach safety at The End. You live or die as a team.
Zombie Fight or Flight started out as an idea for a training exercise for a course called Negotiation Skills for the Zombie Apocalypse. Happily, with input from a wide variety of game testers, it developed into a fun game for any occasion. Zombie Fight or Flight is suitable for anyone over 7 years old. The game can be played by 3-8 players. (A 2-player adaptation is included in the rules.)
Rachel Petrovicz (Art by Tuna) created all of the artwork for the Zombie Fight or Flight card deck. She will also create new art for a special Drunken Zombie deck to accompany the Kickstarter and new (mystery) cards for Kickstarter Stretch Goals.

Players are dealt 4 cards each and take turns playing a card to represent one day in the team's search for safety. The team must survive 3 full weeks and then manage 5 consecutive days without zombie encounters (fights) before playing "The End" card to win.
There are 4 types of cards available: - Fight cards: Skirmish and Combat - Flight cards: Evade, Flee and Backtrack - Recovery and Provision cards: Rest, Heal and Provision - The End
Each time the team fights zombies, they must recover before taking any other actions. If the next player is unable to assist with recovery, the team will die. As well, the group must Provision at least once every week, or they will die.
One additional factor comes into play in "Week 2": players are able to show one card face up to the rest of the team once they have played a card. This card is intended as an indication to others of what that player might be able to do. However, the player cannot trade that card with one in their hand. A new card can only be shown when the previously showing card has been played.
Play proceeds very quickly. As players become more familiar with the cards and with each others' game strategy, difficulty can be increased quickly by removing some of the Recovery cards.The Drunken Zombie Deck

Zombie Fight or Flight started out as a training exercise. While it is now a fun game for any group, its origin makes it very suitable for school classrooms from grades 3-12. (For groups of 15-40).

Train-the Trainer Package
This package is designed to provide all of the materials to offer your own conflict resolution or team building exercise, while also drawing on the expertise of award-winning mediation trainer, Sharon Sutherland.
You'll receive 4 regular Zombie Fight or Flight decks for use in conflict resolution training plus the downloadable trainers' manual.
As well, you'll have a 1-hour skype "train-the-trainer" call with Sharon to discuss planning and adapting for your group's goals and needs.
1/2-Day Conflict Resolution Training
Sharon Sutherland (or another member of our team, on request) will design and lead a tailored half-day workshop on conflict resolution or a team building exercise for your organization.
Our team includes of a highly skilled group of conflict resolution professionals with training experience and varied professional backgrounds. You may be looking for someone with specific experience to work with unions, hockey teams, or legal and accounting teams. Ask us about best fit options for your team. (Our trainers include Emily Martin, Joan Braun, Amanda Semenoff and Mark Meredith).
Trainer travel is not included outside the Greater Vancouver area.
Collaborative Game Jam
Looking for a unique team building and learning activity for your workplace, team, or association? Members of PignPotato will help you design and run a tailored full-day Game Jam aimed at creating tools you can put into immediate use. The day itself will provide an opportunity to explore the challenges that may face your team in working together as effectively as possible and, more importantly, will provide future-focused, game development aimed at solving those challenges. Delivery timing based on availability of the team and our trainers, but we anticipate being able to deliver this workshop by June 2016. Travel outside the Greater Vancouver area is not included.
Risks and challenges
This is our first game development project, and our first Kickstarter. Artwork is completed so the remaining risks are tied to printing and delivery. We have printed prototype decks and had very timely printing and delivery from our printer, with satisfactory printing quality.
We are, however, reliant on both printing timing and postal rushes to ensure we meet Christmas delivery deadlines. We can ensure that our order for printing is placed immediately following the close of the Kickstarter, and have set aside time for packing and shipping before Canada Post's Christmas delivery deadline. Delays at the printers or in shipping could impact our delivery date.
