The GRRRLZ ROCK CD PROJECT combines music and art from grrrlz of all ages for a unique creation that is going to rock the world!
The GRRRLZ ROCK CD COMPILATION PROJECT will combine talented bands with female members of all ages with youth artists for a unique, multi-medium creation that everyone on our team is going to love see come to life.
We are going to make the world aware of these collaborative works through an extensive marketing and distribution plan that will highlight and promote their artistic abilities. The CD will be available on our website, on CD Baby and iTunes and will be sold at various concerts and art events and passed along to all of the people who helped make it happen to share with their friends and families.
We hope to continue reaching out to the next generation of grrrlz as they explore and develop their creative skills.
The recordings and digital art shots were captured during the 2010 GRRRLZ ROCK Music & Arts Festival last November and the final funds are needed to mix, master, design, print and distribute the CD. There is tons of community support for this project and international support from our Australian participant, Alex Jackson, and many other global networks of friends and fans.
So many women, grrrlz, boyz, families, volunteers and businesses have helped us get this project into motion and we truly appreciate their support. A special shout out to Joy at Ruby Porter Marketing & Design - we could not have made it this far without all of your efforts.
With your pledge we can make this dream project become a reality - help us rock the world!
Not at all - we have tons of guys in the bands, helping at events, sponsors and in the families. As long as there is a strong female member in the band or celebrated in the art form, everyone is welcome at Grrrlz Rock! We celebrate and promote women in music and arts and it takes collaboration and cooperation to increase the roles women play in these areas of society and community.
It started as a month-long music and arts festival back in 2006 in the Eugene area and in 2010 was sold to the biggest fan, myself, and has since turned into a huge community-powered organization that celebrates and promotes the participation of women in all music and arts.

$1,000 for recording, mixing, mastering, assistance getting in to the world online, $1,500 for design, printing of a thousand CD's and five hundred digital cards, a one-time use fee for each band on the compilation, 16 bands and hoping for $100 per band for a total of $1,600 and that is it!
We will cry and pout a bit and then put out a digital release until we can afford the printing and design portion of the project and the bands will have to donate their music to the project instead of getting paid, which we are trying to avoid as too many musicians do not get paid enough for what they create, so let's not have this option!
