Stretch Goal #2: $40,000.00 USD
Prints the Blue Deck. The Blue Deck depicts the characters in their defensive stance. The Blue Deck cards have the same back as the Red Deck and can be used together with or as replacement cards in the Red Deck. These feature the same characters but in different poses. You can use both decks together to play rummy with more people.
Risks and challenges
Using the USPCC will ensure quality cards. Although creators are not allowed to pledge to their own kickstarter campaigns, this does not keep them from investing in their own projects. I and some close friends are also investing our own money in the printing of this deck. This is why the campaign is only needing $6000.00 more to cover our costs of printing and shipping.
Sending decks in ziplock bags inside (not instead) of padded envelopes or boxes will help insure that the product gets to the customer in mint condition.
Publicity is also something I am working on. I was recently interviewed about my deck of playing cards by James Watson of the Philly Card Company for his blog about playing card designers. You can read the interview here at http://wp.me/P4hyfd-dP. Enjoy!
