TILT : MA Design Goldmisths, University of London
Each year, students showcase their work by hosting an end-of-year exhibition. The projects and concepts addressed differ, remaining topical - whether they examine the ramifications of daily life or factors unique to developing communities.
Goldsmiths University Masters’ projects are about much more than just the outcomes, they are a positive way of thinking about the future and learning while making. With a focus on the process, research, metadesign and critical-design, the work is about the way we live or imagine the way we would like to live.
The Goldsmiths MA show occurs during London Design Week. Now in it’s eleventh year, the Design Festival takes place in September.
Below are images of the rewards we have on offer. Each handmade design is bespoke to the 'Tilt' exhibition and will only be manufactured in response to our Kickstarter orders. Each reward is both designed and manufactured by us!
Additional Info on products!
Diaries and Notebooks: Each of the notebooks and diaries are handmade from a variety of quality papers and artificial leather. The diaries are set for 12 months and allow you to enter your own dates which mean the diary can be started at any time in the year. There are two types of notebooks available; a regular notebook and a concept notebook. The concept notebook can be used to organise your ideas, e.g. deriving concepts and simplifying and summarising your thoughts. We will email asking you which one you prefer once our 33 days are over.
Assortment of Greeting Cards: These hand made greetings cards feature a purpose designed valentines day and birthday card along with three other cards that are perfect for all occasions. Beautifully printed on matt paper, your card is sure to stand out among the rest. All cards are A6 size and come with envelopes.
House of... : Build something. Anything. A take on Eames house of cards, this set of a dozen acrylic 'cards' is only limited by your imagination -- sculptures, small shelves, boxes, towers or light boxes that play with shadow. Choose from black, white, clear, mirrored or multi-coloured. We will email asking you which one you prefer once our 33 days are over.
Clock: HEARTIME is a wooden wall-clock where the heart tricks the brain with an optical illusion. Using the concept of the gestalt, the turning rays show few parts of the engraved heart per time which gives the illusion of a heart beating.
Risks and challenges
Independently directing a show is exciting and fun but can also be hard and time constraining at the same time. Even though our goal is quite simple, the costs add up easily. Prototyping, venue, materials, transport, etc... Any help we can get would be very much appreciated.
We have set up a realistic time frame for shipments of the rewards, however some delays might occur as we are working on the show as well as producing our work and the rewards. Thanks once again for all your support.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
