JIVR | Bike incorporates the latest technologies. We developed a state of the art mechanical chainless drivetrain, and built it into the JIVR | Bike frame. We have made it hassle and maintenance free for you. What's more, you can still use the JIVR | Bike as a regular pedal bicycle if your battery runs out of juice or if you just fancy getting more exercise.
JIVR | Bike folds up.
Concerned when you chain your bike to a fence that the bad guys have chain cutters? Or that they might steal you e-bike's batteries? JIVR | Bike folds up in four simple and ergonomic moves into a compact package that is easily wheeled into your building and stored under your desk. It also weighs less than 33lbs (15kg) and our battery is built in.

Zip along like it's downhill all the way and enjoy an effortless ride on your electric bike. No more sweating on the way to the office. JIVR | Bike is compliant with regulations at 16mph or 20mph (25km/h or 32km/h), offers a 20miles (30km) range, and is charged with a regular 120V (also 220/230V) plug in 90 minutes.

To load your JIVR | Bike with cool features, JIVR together with Kontakt.io will run two 'hackathons' in London and San Francisco prior to the shipping date. All of the apps developed and functionalities will be available for free!
Following our "hassle-free cycling" vision, we're launching JIVR | Care service around the world. JIVR | Care is a 48hr, free of charge warranty service at your door. In other words, we'll get into a car, drive to your location, fix your JIVR | Bike for free or give you a new one.
JIVR | Care 48hr servicing. We'll run JIVR | Care in metropolitan areas with a population over 1M and at least 200 JIVR | Bikes shipped. Not just for JIVR | Bike customers, but all the cyclists.

How can you become a JIVR | Ambassador?
Option 1. If you're in one of our suggested locations (see the map below) you can get your JIVR | Bike for as little as £699 and subscribe to our JIVR | Ambassador programme automatically.
Option 2. If you're outside our preferred locations, but population of the urban area you live in is greater than 1M inhabitants,we've got great news. You can get your JIVR | Bike for as little as £849 - which is £1,150 off our retail price - and subscribe to our JIVR | Ambassador programme automatically.

All of our JIVR | Ambassadors will be able to get the JIVR | Bike at a massively discounted price, participate in events, conferences, receive samples of our new products and earn rewards by cycling as much as possible and advocating the JIVR | Bike. Our journey began in September 2011 at University College London at the Management Science and Innovation department. Here the founder of JIVR | Bike, Marcin Piatkowski, researched the possibility of developing the ultimate urban commuting vehicle. The research started with an e-scooter, then an e-motorbike, before he concluded the most viable option is an e-bike.
But that was just the beginning - imagining the perfect urban bike.
Everyone said it was impossible ... internal mechanical drivetrain more efficient than a chain drive? "There is a reason why all bikes have chains!" - they said.
After more than 50 meetings with engineers from top british automotive brands and more than 130 investor meetings we managed to develop a working product. We finally found someone brave enough to have a go. And it worked.
Almost 3 years since the inception at University College London, JIVR | Bike is now a fully functional product, 3 months away from being mass-manufacturing ready.
We already have found our own manufacturing plant in Mielec, Poland (the founder's home town), to retain full control over the manufacturing process and to deliver a top quality product.
Although only a 60,000 inhabitants live in the town, Mielec is home to some top brands.
We need your help, Kickstarter, to make this dream come true. Your pledges will be used to set up a proper mass-manufacturing site, cover tooling costs and delivery of JIVR | Bikes.
STRETCH GOAL: £150,000 new colour! Upon reaching £150,000 stretch goal you'll be able to vote for the next JIVR | Bike colour. Matt black? Pearl White? Camo? Pink?
Please note: When you make a pledge, add a shipping fee to your pledge. We cannot guarantee the exact shipping cost as it heavily depends on volumes shipped to particular location. However, we're certain it'll be less than £135 for EU countries and less than £165 for the rest of the world. If the shipping fee turns out to be lower than expected, we'll return you the difference.
Collecting your JIVR | Bike in London is free of shipping charge.
We've already done a lot of the production preparation work and are confident that JIVR | Bikes will hit production this summer.
We'll be manufacturing and delivering the bikes in 500-unit batches , so make sure you're in the first one. First come, first served basis.
We'll post information here about the production batches as the Kickstarter campaign progresses.

Risques et défis
The JIVR | Bike project is mature in terms of product development. This reinforces our high level of confidence that production will start this year.
Depending on the level of commitment we receive from Kickstarter backers, we'll be able to assess the level of certainty regarding shipping dates towards the end of March. Timely shipping is the biggest risk we perceive as this is heavily dependant on our collaborations with suppliers. The more orders we secure from Kickstarter, the more excited our suppliers will be to work with us, hence shorter lead times.
The vast majority of our suppliers have already been identified and our requirements have been discussed in depth. Therefore, we're certain that we can deliver product of the quality specified above.
Final assembly and QA will be done by us, so we'll ensure the bikes are of the highest quality possible, before we ship them to you.
