The short answer is No. We’re not going to send the Battleground Police to kick down your door and confiscate your Men of Hawkshold faction.

The long answer is that the reprinted Men of Hawkshold has superior artwork and updated rules based on over a decade’s worth of games. We feel this new version is greatly improved in every way. And we hope that you’re as excited about the Men of Hawkshold as we are.

Absolutely! The updated Men of Hawkshold is completely compatible with the existing Fantasy and Historical factions!

The only other things you need are:

Dry erase markers

Dice (although if we reach our stretch goal, these will be available as an add-on)

You may also want a tape measure, but you can use Battleground cards to measure distances.

There’s enough unit cards in the Men of Hawkshold box that two players could build armies with that one box, sharing the Command Card deck. Or you can purchase additional factions as add-ons, to give Hawkshold opponents to battle!

Yes! They are fully compatible. Your Orc horde can invade the Persian Empire or Hannibal can try his hand at conquering the Dwarven realms.

You do not need to specify now. After the Kickstarter, we will be sending out a survey through PledgeManager, and you can detail your add-ons then.

The shipping cost included with the pledge is an estimate. Final costs will depend on add-ons and will be calculated through the PledgeManager survey after the Kickstarter campaign.
