How to Assemble the Cabinet Game Table
We had a lot of folks at PAX Unplugged (ah-MAY-zing tabletop convention!) interested in the Cabinet Game Table. Many wondered how the magic happens—how, exactly, does it go from a Cabinet to a Table?
We pulled some photos from the factory to hopefully replicate what we were able to demonstrate on the show floor.
Putting It All Together
The first step to setting up the table is to remove the parts from where they are hidden on the sides of the cabinet.
Remove the legs and stretcher (top and bottom trim on the front of the panel).
Then begin assembly by locking the two leaves of the table top.
The Rondorfix bolt connectors (similar to locking metal dowels) bring the two leaves from each side of the Cabinet flush and tight with only one turn of the screwdriver!
Next attach the stretchers to the legs and then bolt the legs to the table.
Finally, flip the table over. If you have any enthusiastic table-flippers in your house, you may want to hold them back until you get familiar with this process. :)
The table bolts directly to the Cabinet for a secure fit.
Then—depending on which side of the table is facing up—you either have the craft or dining table...
...or the game table! Remember, the Cabinet is unfinished, so the fabric is not in place yet. Don't worry, yours will be complete!
There you have it: Game Cabinet to Table in less than 15 minutes (with two people, to be clear). Just reverse the process to store it all back in the Cabinet.
