My name is Alexander D'Agostino, and I need your support for my newest production The Swan: a Serial Killer Ballet.
The Swan happens December 12th and 13th at the EMP collective in Baltimore Maryland. Tickets on Sale for $10. Link to purchase available soon!
Blending performance art, gore, and ballet this production follows the surreal and disturbing journey of an individual hell bent on destroying the patriarch and rising as that ethereal icon- the Swan. An agitated queer- activist and failed dancer, the swan become obsessed with seducing and destroying all the total top masculine-acting Prince Charmings cruising the cyber arenas of grinder, tinder, and scruff. As this promises to be a homoerotic bloodbath with pointe shoes and tutus, viewer discretion is advised. More then just a performance, the audience will feel invited and welcomed in the home of the killer, offered cookies and tea, and perhaps an opportunity to assist his gruesome performances.
With your support this bloodbath of a dream will come true! Any funds collected in excess of the original goal will be used put towards artist fees, tech support, and promotional material.
Risks and challenges
It takes passion and discipline to create this kind of work, and it also takes support. Although performance artists are known for producing work with little to no budgets, a project of this size and ambition needs real funding to exist. Finding the right victims/performers and coordinating rehearsals, working with videographers, and tech-support can be a dance within itself. I'll do anything to bring my inspiration to fruition. Your support will bring this project to life!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
