Like There's No Tomorrow is a feature length documentary film currently in production about the life and career of Mat Sargent, the bass guitarist of the seminal punk rock bands Sham 69 and Chelsea.
Diagnosed HIV-positive at the age of seventeen, during the height of the AIDS epidemic in 1988; Mat Sargent was told he had only three years to live. But defying all expectations Mat went onto record a charity album called Sex, Drugs and HIV ten years later. Featuring some of the biggest names in music including Tony Hadley, Adam Ant and Angie Bowie to name but a few, it is one of the most ambitious charity albums ever recorded with over two-hundred artist's contributing to the album.
For the past two years award-winning documentarian and filmmaker Stephanie De Palma has been exploring Mat's life and career and to reveal the inspiration and the tragedy behind Mat's labour of love.
To date Like There's No Tomorrow has been entirely financed by Stephanie De Palma and her production company DirtyDog Productions based in Brighton, UK. Filming on the documentary is nearly finished but she now seeks some extra funding in order for it to reach completion.
Should you make a pledge, your investment will be spent on post-production expenses and securing an interview with an important contributor in Stockholm, Sweden. In return for your generosity we can offer you a variety of rewards. These rewards include official Chelsea merchandise in the form of band badges and t-shirts, signed or unsigned by Mat Sargent. Also on offer are tickets to see Chelsea perform at the Camden Underworld with Anti-Pasti and Department S on the 10th June 2017. Only two admissions are available.
Other rewards on offer are two versions of the Sex, Drugs and HIV album; a standard two disc version signed by Mat Sargent and a three disc special edition which includes a behind the scenes documentary about the making of the album, which at £25.00 is cheaper than buying from Amazon. Moreover a digital preview of the completed film is also available and everyone who makes a pledge will receive an acknowledgement in the film's closing credits.
Once the film is completed, Like There's No Tomorrow will be submitted into the international film festival circuit for distribution.

Risks and challenges
The greatest risk to this project is the whole post-production process may take longer than initially expected. In which case there will be a delay in delivering some of the rewards. Since most of the filming has been completed however, the risk of significant delays are low.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
