We made it!!!

Posted by matthew leahy (Creator)

What a week we have had! It has been exhilarating and terrifying and very, very satisfying. The influx of supporters in the last few days has left us awed and humbled. Thank you to each and every one of you who helped us make our goal (and beyond!).

We are now diving full speed into the details of our move to Peru and all the preparations for this film to happen.

Our fiscal sponsor, the International Documentary Association, will continue to accept donations to the film for the duration of the filmmaking process. You can access our film on their site here: http://documentary.org/fsp/4025

Again, thank you all! Peru, here we come! Enjoy a thank you video from our kiddos!

Peace,

Matthew and Elisa

ATTN: we've been given a matching pledge offer!

Posted by matthew leahy (Creator)

If somebody can pledge $500 or more, one of our backers, Charlie Tomberg,  generously offers to match the pledge with an additional $500 contribution!

We are very grateful for this offer! Please share this with your friends!

Thanks!

The Making of a Model Bridge

Posted by matthew leahy (Creator)

Thank you to all of you who have joined us on this "quest!" We are nearly at the end; only 3 more days! We are still short more than $6000, but we are continually getting more backers. It's crunch time.

Today Elisa Stone Leahy presented our film project and gave a brief lecture on Incan technology to an Andean culture class at the Ohio State University. Here is some footage she put together for the class highlighting the bridge-building methods Victoriano uses to create his model bridges.

Enjoy this special "sneak peek" of the Bridge Master at work! And thanks again for being part of our endeavor! Please urge your friends to pledge if you haven't already!

Best,

Matthew and Elisa

Another little supporter chimes in. Watch it here!

In other news, Ohio State University's Center for Latin American Studies has officially joined us as a sponsor for The Last Bridge Master. We are so thrilled to have their support!

We are over halfway through this campaign and we're at 43% of the funds we need.

A big thank you to all of you who have brought us this far!
