It is my mission to write the first ever gluten-free community cookbook, but, I need help from all of you to make it happen.
Are you gluten free and no longer able to enjoy your most cherished childhood comfort foods? If the answer is yes, then I'd love for you to share a little bit of your culinary history with me, and the rest of the gluten free community, so we can work together to write the first ever gluten free community cookbook.
As I sat down to write my second cookbook, I realized that nearly all of my recent work was inspired from the comfort foods I grew up on. They were the dishes that made me feel my first deep pleasures with food and were the recipes that had been passed down through my family for generations. Not surprisingly, none of their origins were gluten free, but I had made them so. It was at that moment that my next cookbook had defined itself rather than I it and therefore, was no longer about me. It became a cookbook by and for the entire gluten free community.
My work, from the very beginning, has been motivated by the desire to help everyone living the gluten free life to reclaim what was lost at the time of their diagnosis, while eliminating that aching feeling of culinary helplessness. There is nothing worse than that loss of everything that we knew and understood to be delicious, satisfying and comforting. So rather than roll over and live my life in the fetal position, I decided to dedicate my life to making this idea--that the gluten free life is even more cutting edge, pleasurable, and healthful than what came before--a reality.
When life gives you lemons, make gluten free lemon meringue pie!
It has taken me over a decade to perfect my craft, but now that I have, you too will see that living gluten free really is "the new black." It's time to include you in my process of creation by inviting you to help me write the mother of all gluten free cookbooks.
Millions of people the world over no longer are able to tolerate the gluten protein so the gluten free reality is definitely not a flash in the pan. Its impact is the beginning of a revolutionary paradigm shift that is changing the culinary world forever.
This cookbook will be our gluten free manifesto filled with recipes that foodies will happily devour and that our children will cherish for generations to come!
Make this Gluten Free Community Cookbook a reality by donating to this project!
Writing a cookbook takes time and money! The ingredients that go into GF recipes cost more than the traditional gluten-based ones. Plus recipes have to be reworked numerous times until they are *just* right. I hold my work very dear to my heart; if the recipes aren't perfect, I'll keep tweaking them until they are.
Once the dishes are ready, the process of pulling the cookbook together continues with help from photographers, graphic and web designers, until we reach the final product...a cookbook that entices you with its look, its ideas, and tantalizes your palate with wonderful recipes you'll make again and again. Please become a part of this team by contributing.
Did we mention...
Contributing to the cookbook is simple as pie.
You can contribute a few dollars (because every cent really does count), or, if you really want to leave your mark, select the donation level to submit a recipe along with a few lines about why the recipe is precious to you, and I will transform the recipe into a gluten free masterpiece.
(The one criteria for recipe submission is it must have a gluten flour listed in the ingredients!)
Please e-mail all recipes and stories to email@example.com
Really, it's that simple. So come on! Share yourself, just hold the gluten~ and help make our future a whole lot better in the process.
NO! Like I said in the video, because I wanted my childhood recipes back, the book will be BRIMMING with recipes of my own. But the idea struck me so much that there were millions of others living the gluten free life that wanted their childhood comfort foods back, too, I simply had to include everyone in the project.
YES. I have every intention of having an e-book version available and it will retail for $10-45USD. Once the printed version is complete, we will then have the set price available.
