We are in the process of seeking out directors Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro, and actor Charles Grodin. We have access to the last known interview with Fay Wray, recorded just shortly before her death. We have a commitment from John Morgan to use the wonderful 1933 King Kong score he recreated with William Stromberg several years ago.
We expect to add many more surprises to round out the film, making it as entertaining and enjoyable as our first film.
Our dream team is back! And we've added a few more extraordinary people to help us make this the best doc ever.

Thanks to some generous investors early on, we were able to get this project into production, and have already shot some really terrific footage of Kong events and some of our guest interviews. But we have a lot more to cover.
So this is where we ask you for your help in making our dream come true.
As a backer of this project, you will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes reports and video as we film each new segment!
That's just one of the great rewards available to backers of LONG LIVE THE KING. There are limited edition art prints that you will be able to choose from, rendered by great genre illustrators. Our official poster art is currently being rendered by the magnificent Jeff Preston, whose work has been mesmerizing fans of the fantastic for years.
We also some really cool Kong-related collectibles, soundtrack CDs, sculptures and more. We'll be posting more art choices as the campaign continues.
Here are photos of some of the rewards available:
This additional Kickstarter funding will enable us to utilize the same awesome crew we employed on BEAST WISHES, including our incredibly talented editor Andrew Kasch. In addition it will cover the normal costs of production and post-production, such as equipment, feeding our crew (VERY important!), locations, sound mixing and correction services, and of course, the distribution of rewards. Our goal amount is what we need to complete the picture and get it out there in world to enjoy. We can use more, which would go to insuring that we land a guest star like Peter Jackson, and perhaps bring the film to your city for film festivals and screenings.
This past year we lost one of the greatest fantasy filmmakers of all time, a man whose work was so inspirational to so many. As a boy, Ray Harryhausen was inspired by seeing the original KING KONG in 1933. And so it is only fitting that we dedicate LONG LIVE THE KING to his memory.
If you haven't already, please take a few minutes and watch the video above, which will give you a taste of the fun we intend to have with this project. The character of King Kong has been delighting audiences and inspiring creative minds for over 80 years. Our goal is to make this, as William Stout says, "the ultimate Kong experience!"
Please join us. Become a backer of LONG LIVE THE KING today, and become a part of "Team Kong!"
