About this project
Burbank On Parade April 6, 2013 "Let's Go to the Movies" opening show is the name of our project. Every year a group of volunteers gets together and we organize the annual parade for the city of Burbank, California. The citizens of Burbank are grateful to be living in a city close to Los Angeles but with that little town feel. The parade includes youth groups such as Girl Scouts, the high schools, and a variety of other organizations in Burbank. We will have the best bands from the area, floats, equestrians, novelties, classic cars, antique transportation , celebrities, entertainment, and awards. Our plan includes an opening show of live music and dance to kick off the parade. The entries will be embracing the theme "Let's Go to The Movies". So you can expect all of our entries to bring that MOVIE experience to life. The possibilities are endless.
The parade is partially funded by donations from local businesses and entry fees from the participants. The cost of the parade far exceeds what we can expect from donations. So we are asking for your help to present a unique opening show for the parade. We need to offer the very best parade to the city and to keep this small town Burbank tradition alive. If you love a parade, you have to see this one. But we can only do it with your help. Please donate and help us make the 2013 Burbank on Parade opening show production of "Let's Go to the Movies" a reality.
Risks and challenges
The only risk in our project is that we would not raise enough money to have the opening show. If this happens, we would have to modify the parade opening with a simple presentation and then consider our options for next year. The date of the parade is firm.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
