Are you an educator?
We want to help you bring coding to your classroom! Just like you, teaching code and programming to students is something we’re very passionate about; and we know that being an educator means doing so while watching your classroom budget. Just for being a great teacher, we're offering you over 40% off your pre-order!

Get Codeybot in your classroom for only $99 with his LED laser add-on for only $30 more.

Why Codeybot In The Classroom?
Codeybot offers a fun outlet that will change your students’ futures - giving them the tools needed to succeed in our tech-ridden future.

The Guardian says “In the future, not knowing the language of computers will be as challenging as being illiterate or innumerate are today.”

According to Ed Tech, major groups like Facebook, Amazon, Google, Microsoft and IBM are all behind the coding-in-classrooms movement.

Steve Jobs said, “Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer... because it teaches you how to think”

How To Claim Your Educator's Discount
We’re offering educators a special 40% off discount. Only those with email addresses ending in .edu are eligible for this teacher’s deal.

Thanks for being such a fantastic teacher! Here’s how to claim this deal:

  • Use your .edu email address to pledge the $1 “join the mission” reward.
  • Rather than pledging $1, pledge $99 (Add $30 more to include the LED laser add-on).
  • Add the shipping rate that applies to you for each bot

    (China/Macao/Hong Kong: $4, US/Taiwan: $9, European Union/ Japan/South Korea/Malaysia/Singapore: $20, Australia/ Canada: $30, Rest of the world: $33)

  • Send a separate email with the subject line "EDUCATOR SPECIAL OFFER" to the Makeblock team at to confirm your pledge.

So, your total pledge will be $99 for every Codeybot you want to pre-order, $30 for each LED laser add-on plus the cost of shipping.

If you’ve used your .edu email address, our team will email you back to confirm and grant you this great discount!

Let's make our futures brighter together and bring Codeybot to all classrooms.

Please email us at if you have any questions. We'd love to help!

Program the fun,

@christophe hugot, hi Christophe, thank you for your inquiry. As you can see below in the other comments, all we need you to do is to send us an email to provide a schoolwebsite URL through a school based email account to verify. Please let us know if this helps!

@Brendan, very true. Thank you very much! @Backers, as long as there's a way to verify that you are an educator, we can work with various email endings.

That's much better. I've already registered for the two pack of Codeybots with the lasers, so I'm good. FYI, I also know teachers with .net and other endings to their email. I would suggest saying as long as they can provide a website URL and a school based email account, it should be good and easy enough to verify.

      @Tasha Turner Lennhoff thank you!

@Brendan, thank you for your thoughts and inputs! It turns out quite a few of educators have .org emails instead of .edu emails. So, educators with .org emails, if you are interested in getting Codeybots through this deal, please send over the name of the school and a website link to the school for us to verify, we would treat such emails as the same as those that end with .edu. How does it sound?

@JiLPi, hi, we would! Hong Kong is actually included and listed in this update, if you are not sure about the pledge amount, please feel free to shoot us email and we would get someone from the team to followup and help. Thanks.

Great idea. Would you extend the discount to similar email addresses out of the US? Like in Hong Kong.

While a great deal, the requirement to have a .edu email leaves out the majority of people living and working in schools unless they happen to be working in post-secondary secondary schools with an tie to the US. I would encourage you to rethink how this discount is offered to enable more people to participate.

      What a great deal.
