Help support a recording of my original musical settings to great British & American poets.
The sheet music has already been published and your backing will help support a high-quality sound recording of the works.
The works are written for 4 solo unaccompanied singers. With your support, I will rehearse and record the quartet of professional singers in two sets: the first encompassing the poets Lord George Byron, Alfred Lord Tennyson, and Robert Louis Stevenson; and the second: Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson, and Frank Lebby Stanton. The total duration of the two sets combined is roughly 15 minutes.
The recording will take place on 8th December 2013 at High Laver Church, Essex, England. The church has superb acoustics and is where the great English philosopher John Locke (inspiration behind the American Revolution) is buried.
The sound recordings will be released as a high-quality digital purchasable downloads. They, along with the scores, will be sent to various professional, collegiate, and amateur vocal ensembles for performance consideration.
COSTS: Each singer commands a standard fee of £75. Church heating costs and a small donation for its use, digital distribution costs, and the commission make up a further £150-£200.
Risks and challenges
The digital download option will be looked into further, as to whether it is released officially as a downloadable purchase on 'soundcloud' or whether it is released on 'iTunes'/'Amazon' etc. Either way, backers will receive the complimentary recording in full.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
