Stretch Goal - Mythos Eidolons and Monstrous March Madness Round 4!

Certain unexplained rumours, events, and vanishments occur among men where the Zoogs have access, and it is well that they cannot travel far outside the world of dreams. But over the nearer parts of the dream world they pass freely, flitting small and brown and unseen and bearing back piquant tales to beguile the hours around their hearths in the forest they love. Most of them live in burrows, but some inhabit the trunks of the great trees; and although they live mostly on fungi it is muttered that they have also a slight taste for meat, either physical or spiritual, for certainly many dreamers have entered that wood who have not come out. Carter, however, had no fear; for he was an old dreamer and had learnt their fluttering language and made many a treaty with them; having found through their help the splendid city of Celephais in Ooth-Nargai beyond the Tanarian Hills, where reigns half the year the great King Kuranes, a man he had known by another name in life. Kuranes was the one soul who had been to the star-gulls and returned free from madness. (The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath; H. P. Lovecraft)

From the void of the Dark Tapestry many strange and bizarre entities come to the multiverse and effect both creatures and people in vastly different ways. Likewise, the Dreamlands is home to odd beings that interact (both for good and ill) with people. Both could lead to strange bloodlines.

The Cthulhu Mythos offers the worlds of Pathfinder has some interesting Animal companions, cohorts, familiars and even bloodlines for Player Characters. Many of them steeped in our own reality, Sandy Petersens Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder includes some interesting options that could be included in the game. How about a friendly Zoog as a cohort? Or a cat from Saturn? Or a brain cylinder? What type of characters would make such pacts with creatures? Well yours!

By unlocking this stretch goal, Mythos bloodlines and a set of Mythos Eidolons, Familiars, cohorts, and Animal Companions will be in the book!

Monsterous March Madness - Round 4!

THE WINNER OF THE SECOND MATCHUP OF MONSTEROUS MARCH MADNESS IS...

NIGHTGAUNT! BY TOTAL DOMINATION!

Mythos monsters are battling to receive YOUR adoration and worship. The ultimate winner will be featured in the inner sleeve as a beautiful art piece inside the Sandy Petersen’s Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder book. NAME and NAME have already proven they’re worthy of your consideration by defeating one foe. Which one is bad enough to enter the final battle? That’s up to you to decide.

Here is what you need to do: In the comments below, sound off with which creature you think deserves to win.

This updates' matchup? LENG SPIDER vs ABOMINATION!

Leng Spider: that worst of beings – an apex predator which is highly intelligent, and feeds primarily on other intelligent beings. They are renowned for both cunning and bloodlust.

Abomination: the children of Yog-Sothoth come in many forms. The entity we have chosen to call an “Abomination” is the most important step down the road to planetary domination. Once an Abomination is brought into horrid existence, suddenly the Way of the Opener cult has many more options open to them.

A bit late, but I've been away over the holiday weekend.

      I vote Leng Spider.

Definitely Leng Spider. Awesome creature. Plus, the abomination sculpt just seems a little funny to me, I think its the fact its toung out. Kinda looks like a frat boy lifting his shirt to show his pecs, but squigglyer.

The Abomination. I think its appearance is very alien and visually interesting and very representative of Lovecraft's style. :)

      Leng Spider.

The abomination might see more use in my games, but that Leng Spider should make for a great illustration....

Leng Spider will win because it's a more classic monster but I vote for Abomination. There is nothing better than body horror.

    26. Kirill Polivko on March 25, 2016

      Leng Spider. Sorry, Wilbur's Brother.

    27. UhOh Crow on March 25, 2016

Leng spider is a wicked sculpt, so it gets my vote

    28. Michael D'Auben on March 25, 2016

I have to give it to the grasping mandibles of the Leng Spider!

      Abomination
Though a Leng Spider is mind numbingly horrifying it has but one mouth and its wits. The Abomination clearly has many wormoid spawn in its terible form with which to bite the Leng Spider. As they would begin to burrow into the Leng Spider so as to begin to feed in its dark burrows, the Leng Spiders wits would prove detrimental as they would only make it aware of its fate.

    30. Rysky on March 25, 2016

      I vote for NAME.

      and Leng Spider.
