A compact 500 lumen flashlight with a built in usb power bank to charge your mobile devices that is specially designed for everyday carry. The JackRabbit (JR-X1) flashlight is less about 4 inches long and only weighing 7 ounces, it is powered by one 16340 type 3.6 volt rechargeable lithium ion battery and is replaceable by accessing it from the tail cap . Recharging your JackRabbit flashlight is made simple by plugging in a micro usb port on the JackRabbit's charging port and has a standard usb out port for charging your devices. The JackRabbit is designed to be as compact as possible that is why a  single 16340 battery was selected for its operation. The JackRabbit has a capability of running a single 18650 using a specially made body extension tube to accommodate the longer 18650 battery (battery extension tub for stretch goal?). The JackRabbit can provide a charge up to 25 percent on an iPhone and the JackRabbit flashlight has a runtime of 18 hours on its lowest setting (60 lumens). We added spring steel clip on the body with neodymium magnets on the side for added versatility. The JackRabbits's circuitry has an over discharge and over charge cut off to prevent batteries from failing and ensuring proper operation as well as safety. We had made several prototypes and designs using a cnc mill and a manual lathe and significantly improved the design. We need to acquire a cnc lathe with some special tooling to be able to mass produce the aluminum body and other aluminum parts for it and we really need your backing so we can purchase all the needed cnc equipment, we already have a cnc mill and other metal cutting equipment and some injection molding equipment. We already secured the electronic components needed for this project like the led, reflector, circuit board/led driver/usb charging controller, etc. With your help we can bring this project to life and manufacture the JackRabbit Flashlight here in the USA.

 We appreciate your support,

-JackRabbit Team

Risks and challenges

Some delays might occur if machinery break down happens. We will do the machining and assembly of the JackRabbit flashlight in-house and outsource anodizing due to strict environmental regulations in our area. Since we are in full control of the process, we can quickly solve obstacles that might arise during manufacturing and fulfillment of the rewards and we will do our best to keep things steady. All the needed components had been secured from a vendor and is waiting for our confirmartion to deliver.
