Almost three years ago, I was in the South interviewing young evangelicals about their generation’s thoughts on faith in a rapidly changing world. At this important moment of change in American Christianity, these young people are serving their communities as they come of age both emotionally and spiritually.
A Brief Synopsis of the Documentary Film
What Will Pledges Enable?
In order to wrap up our final shoot and get the film out to audiences as soon as possible, we need to raise a minimum of $10,000. $10,000 would cover a stipend for the Director of Photography, housing, transportation and food costs for the final month long shoot.
Our goal of $10,000 is really the minimum amount to finish shooting the film, which so far has been self-produced and funded by a small group of committed organizations and individuals. $10,000 would cover a Director of Photography fee, and the costs housing, transportation gas and food for the final month long shoot.
We hope to far exceed that amount and you receive all sorts of radically lovely rewards for your contributions (see list to the right). As with all Kickstarter campaigns, if we don’t reach the minimum goal then we don’t get anything so we need your help to get us there!
Below is a list of different funding levels and what each goal achieved helps us to afford.
$10,000: Director of Photography fee, and the housing, transportation and food costs for the final month long shoot.
$15,000= All of the above, plus the necessary transcriptions of interviews, and the initial editor stipend.
$31,000= All of the above, plus 2 months of the full-time editor fee, to get us to a rough cut stage to screen new scenes for funders and raise final post-production costs.
