Hello Approaching Infinity backers! It's been almost a year since AI was released, and 2 years since the kickstarter began. We're also very close to starting beta testing on AI update 1.3, which will add 3 new officer classes and a new alien race, among other things.  

But the really exciting news is my new game "Not Your Space" just launched on kickstarter! It's a sci-fi real time strategy game where you can customize a very large list of options for each new game.

(There are more options than these, but you get the point!)

"Not Your Space" has been prototyped with graphics from David Gervais (from Approaching Infinity!), but I have someone lined up to draw some really amazing ships and planets. Check these out:

There is also an amazing orchestral soundtrack being written, and I've got much better sound effects this time, and even some voice acting! It's a great project :D

NYS is on kickstarter and Steam Greenlight right now, and I'd really appreciate it if you took a look.

I know that there were some complaints about the release version of Approaching Infinity (publisher, price, DRM), and I want to assure everyone that I will *NOT* be working with Shrapnel Games on this. AI is still bound in a contract with them, but I myself am not. There will be no DRM, and NYS will be appropriately priced. Thanks for backing AI, and thanks for looking at Not Your Space!
