During November, my father was admitted to the hospital. He had been fighting a rare type of cancer called cholangiocarcinoma for 2 years. He was in the hospital, then was admitted to hospice in Dec. I went home to take care of him with my mother, because my dad had become paralyzed. It was a horrific thing, watching my dad slip away with liver and kidney failure from years of destructive chemo. When the chemo had stopped working we tried alternative treatments and were very hopeful. The rapid decline of my fathers health and mental faculties was disturbing to watch. Because of "sundowning" syndrome, my mom and I never slept. In the midst of all this, the ISF for my container with Podi-m was not filed correctly and Podi-m missed a boat. My father died Dec 29th at home.
My mom is alone now, after being married 57 years, and her own health is precarious. My world is upside down.
Podi-m is on the water, it will soon arrive in Long Beach and the minute its released from customs, everything will ship. Sorry for the delay.
I have to tell you guys- nothing is more precious than the people you love. Say whatever you have to say. Have whatever experiences with your loved ones that you want to have. If you have always wanted to take your mom on a hike on your favorite trail- do it today. Look at old photo albums with your parents. Spend time with the people that matter most. Whats important in life is being with your family and never having anything left unsaid.
