INTRODUCING
TeddyMozart® is a Brooklyn based startup of six passionate musicians and consultants aiming to create a new, unique and memorable experience that transcends family memories beyond borders and time, forever, through a music streaming app and a bluetooth plush toy.
At TeddyMozart, we are building a music streaming app and a variety of high quality bluetooth plush toy speakers so families can easily record and store family traditional songs, lullabies and stories from anywhere and share it with young children from generation to generation, forever. Young children get to listen to these music experiences through the comfort of a plush toy.
Additionally, a parent will have access to a public library of children’s songs, stories and educational content so that parents have complete music freedom to play their own created music memories and play from a public library of children’s content for their kids.
The idea is a testament to the personal experiences of the Founder, Carlton Bennett and his wife, Soham Sen. Carlton grew up in Jamaica and remembers the songs and melodies his grandmother used to sing to him but missed the opportunity to record her because there was no easy way of capturing those memories so that he could store it safely and later share it easily with his kids. Solutions in the market today are fragmented and limited. When Soham’s grandmother passed away, Soham had some of her voicemails stored on her phone from her grandmother but Soham and Carlton had to quickly and manually save them in the cloud before their wireless provider deleted them. This was not a great experience either.
There is no simple, straightforward solution that exists today. Families can record their messages on their phones but if they lose their phones, they lose the recordings. Families today use several apps like WhatsApp, Hangout, Facebook Messenger, and Facetime to communicate with other family members and kids but content is scattered, lost or unorganized with little or no option to preserve and re-play for our kids.
TeddyMozart aims to give families the opportunity to easily store their family memories forever and simultaneously create a better musical and educational listening experience for kids. The vision is to share love and inspire growth in young children. Over the past 6 months, we've researched the impact of music on early child development and found evidence to conclude that sharing love and inspiring growth in young children can be easily achieved through music, especially music which is uniquely special to each family.

We decided to take it one step further by enhancing the personal family music content with a public library of children's songs and other educational content provided by 3rd party content providers like independent children's music artists. We believe that the combination of the personal and public content will give parents total music freedom and flexibility, thus create a better listening experience for kids.

With a click of a button, family members can easily record their family songs, lullabies, stories and messages from any location using the TeddyMozart app.

Family members store their content in the TeddyMozart cloud which keeps content organized and accessible from anywhere with any device and at any point in time, using the TeddyMozart app.

Early childhood development process is enhanced by music. Kids get to enjoy family musical experiences and educational content with less screen time through the comfort of a plush toy. TeddyMozart plush toys are attractive, comfortable, safe, non-toxic and soft.

Kids can fall asleep at the sound of your voice even when you are not there or smile listening to grandma sing a song or tell a story long after she is gone

Classical music
We are preloading hours of classical songs which will be curated into playlists that cater towards a certain activity. For example:
Sleep time, play time, nap time, nursing time, clean up time and more
Children's songs and stories
We are constantly building out our public library and will continue to update you when we have included new content. We are also preloading songs suitable for young children from our featured artists starting with Jessy Tomsko!

Developing TeddyMozart will involve months of coding and testing. Much of the prep work has been completed already for example, app design, toy design and optimizing operations with our factories but we still need your help to give the green light to our production team and meet the minimum order quantity.
We are a Brooklyn based startup of passionate musicians, consultants and parents from NYU, Columbia, IE Business School, Wall Street and Universal Music Group. Each team member has over 10 years of industry experience united under the mission to connect families to share their life’s treasures across generations.

Risques et défis
Developing TeddyMozart will involve months of coding and testing. Much of the prep work has been completed already for example app design, toy design and optimizing operations with our factories but we still need your help to give the green light to our production team and meet the minimum order quantity.
One of the risks involves is quality control, and we are taking this process very seriously. Our hardware and manufacturing expert, Vanessa Chiang (Head of Hardware), is located in Southeast Asia and is in charge of a small team, which reviews each TeddyMozart created on our production line for any errors or defects. However, it is unlikely that individual defects will impact our delivery time frame in any way, as we have already tested operations with our production team.
