LINCOLN CENTER Q&A
Here's the Q&A after the 12/4 screening of my work at Lincoln Center.
Also, we were profiled by Gothamist and Stephen Saito.
What is : TO ERADICATE.?
: TO ERADICATE. is an independent feature film designed to entertain, provoke and push the boundaries of what's possible in low-budget filmmaking. I've been developing the movie for the past 6 years -- and now I plan to go into production in spring 2013.
It's mind-bending lo-fi sci-fi. If you liked Pi or Primer, you'll dig this. If you like early Cronenberg or Kubrick, you'll dig this.
It's got a little bit of everything: action, humor, mystery, special fx, violence, sex -- pretty much anything you'd want to see in a movie!
The plot evolved from a single concept: What would happen if you woke up one day and found your mind gradually clearing of all its colors? The clock has been reset. No social conditioning. No religion. No drugs. No preconceived opinions. Just clear, pure observations of the world around you.
How would you react? Would you find this intriguing? Would you become depressed? Confused? Emboldened? Would you hide from society? Would you study it? Or would you act out against it?

Here's a quick behind-the-scenes of the above Kickstarter video...
Something is wrong in the world. A series of unrelated, unconnected events... random accidents, isolated acts of violence... none of it makes any sense... none of the people have anything in common. Or do they?...
One day, Lint, a 20-something skater-punk, wakes up in an empty parking lot in Long Island City. His head is pounding, and he doesn't know how he got there.
His behavior starts to become erratic -- he completely freaks out at work and comically runs through the neighborhood in an exuberant burst of mischief. This is just the beginning...
Lint's mind starts to severely alter. He withdraws. Then, one night while aimlessly riding the subway, he gets into a confrontation with another man -- and the shocking result changes his life forever.
With his mind now fully controlled by an unknown force, he embarks on a fate-sealing, blood-soaked rampage -- and as he struggles to find out why he's doing what he's doing, he realizes he may soon become a victim of others like him.
Ready to go...
: TO ERADICATE. has been in development for 6 years, so I'm well-prepared: screenplay, lots of storyboards, location photos, budget, shooting schedule, etc. Last winter, my producer, Laki Latinka Igrutinovic, and I, put together a 200-page book of everything so far.
Here are some storyboard and location samples...
