Whether your focus is on the road ahead or the traffic behind you, TriEye delivers crystal clear visibility to cyclists and other athletes. TriEye raises the bar with its integrated rearview mirror and tinted polycarbonate lenses.
Checking traffic behind you can be very dangerous. When you turn your head, you turn your handlebars and this can put you in the path of traffic. To prevent situations like this, we created TriEye’s patented integrated mirror. The mirror is made from polycarbonate with an anti-fog coating and will not break into small pieces.
The mirror sits on a ball socket that allows it to pivot and swivel for better alignment. It is fully adjustable for every face. The mirror’s housing is shaped for better aerodynamics.
TriEye comes with three lenses to cover all riding conditions. Use the clear lens for night rides or when the weather is gloomy. Use the smoke tinted lens as your all around lens, great for most situations. Swap the Revo lens in for those bright sunny days to increase the contrast levels and visual clarity. Each lens has its own built-in mirror.
Pop open the latches on both sides of the frame. Pull the lens out. It is that simple. You can easily switch between lenses to insure you are prepared for the best and safest riding experience.
TriEye was designed to be the last pair of cycling glasses you will ever need. The frame comes with two different temples for perfect fit. One temple has a metal structure with a rubber sleeve that can bend and mold to your head.
TriEye was molded from Grilamid TR90, a tough plastic polymer that is light yet structurally stable. It has high heat and UV resistance and will retain its shape through long hours in the sun. It is used in all high-end performance eyewear and that is why we chose it.
TriEye has four air vents built into the frame to allow for more airflow behind the lens. This helps eliminate fogging by keeping the temperatures under the sunglasses closer to the temperature outside the sunglasses.
The rubberized nose pad and temples on the TriEye frame create a slip-free fit. Perfect for the bumpy trails or the hot summer days on the pavement, TriEye will always stick to your face.
TriEye’s come with two pairs of removable temples. Both are strong, flexible and durable. One has an internal metal structure surrounded by rubber, which allows it to be adjusted for a more custom fit. The other is built as a one size fits most

The most dangerous situation when you bike is when you turn around to look behind. First of all you do not see in front of your bike for a second or two, secondly people tend to move the handlebar slightly when they turn around and that’s when your bike hit the hole in the road and you bounces over the handlebar and into the ditch with a broken shoulder.
Bicycling in the traffic can be a challenge. Turning your body and head around to see the traffic behind you when biking is dangerous, trusting that the traffic behind you sees you and respect you is also risky. Riding your bike with TriEye you will experience that you look behind several times per minute, always knowing the traffic behind you.
Most of us have more than one athletic endeavour that we fall into. We at TriEye are passionate cyclists but the Norwegian weather only allows for this a few months per year and that is why we also are avid cross country skiers. We created TriEye initially as cycling sunglasses, but realized they can be used in so many other sports that require forward attention but can benefit from rear visibility. Whether you are racing in that 5k or skiing with your buddies, it is always good to keep an eye on the pack.
I was cycling with some friends and my youngest son on some dusty roads in the Norwegian mountains in the early summer of 2016. The speed was good and I had to focus 100% on the bumpy road so it was not possible to turn the head and look behind me. I did not know that my son actually was only 2 meters behind me, and had been that for a couple of kilometers. Preparing to turn into a smaller path I hit my brakes and then my son hit me. It was a hard crash, blood and broken bikes.
The same day I read about a bicyclist that was hit from behind by a car where the driver was distracted by his phone, the bicyclist died. I started thinking, how can you keep an eye on the traffic and fellow bikers behind you without mirrors on your bicycle. Can I make a product that will prevent some bicycle accidents and at the same time make bicycling both safer and more fun?
I went down to the local hardware store and bought a mirror that I cut into small pieces and started testing solutions with a mirror close to my eye.
Based on my idea and the first prototypes I was able to get financial support from Innovation Norway (Norwegian government funding platform). I could hire a plastic specialist, a designer and the product started to develop nicely. The big breakthrough was when the mirror was moved from the inside of the lens to a mirror house on the outside of the lens. It is vital to get the right distance and angle between the mirror and your eye.
Two years, dozens of prototypes, miles and hours of testing we are ready to launch the final product. The feedback from the local test persons is fantastic, now we are looking forward to see what the rest of the world says.
Medium will fit people with a PD (pupils distance) of 65 mm or less. Large will fit people with a PD (pupils distance) of 70 mm or more. If your PD 65 – 70 mm then both sizes will fit.
Most people do not know or measure their PD even if it is easily done with a millimeter ruler in front of your mirror.
In general, Large is the best choice for adults with an average distance between the eyes. If you know that the distance between your eyes are smaller than average you should chose the medium size.
Carsten is the founder and owner of TriEye. Carsten is a visionary engineer with a broad background from several Norwegian projects and companies. He came up with the TriEye idea after being hit from behind when biking.
Thore Grüner Bjerke is the owner of polyGrüner Consult and with more than 30 years in the business, he is one of Norway's most experienced and respected experts within plastic constructions. Thore has been vital for the construction and development of the mirror house.
Henry has been in the sports eyewear business for 15 years and his broad experience and network has been a key factor in putting this project together. It is absolutely no limits to his focus and energy.
Harrison has been in the eyewear business his whole life. Give him a challenge and he has a solution in an hour. Give him an impossible task and he will need the night to sleep on it before he presents the solution. I am really fortunate to have Henry and Harrison on my team.
Thomas has Bachelor’s degree Product design specialization. He is a part of the Arena data team and he is in charge of the digital communication and marketing at TriEye. Thomas can make things happen, just like that!
Camilla has a Bachelor in marketing and is responsible for web and customer support at TriEye. One of her many duties during the campaign is to make sure that you receive your TriEye bike glasses on time.

There are always some risk with manufacturing and new supply chain logistic.
