I feel so happy and blessed to be where I am at this moment in my life. It's been 8 years since the debut of my album Lilikoi and 4 years since I released my EP Misery's end! My how time flies! I've been busy with family life and music. Trying to find balance between the two is sometimes challenging.
My career has been a very exciting one thus far, I get to use my gift and do the thing I love while traveling all over the world making new friends and fans.
I've had the honor of becoming friends with Jack Johnson, who discovered me while I was playing music at a park near his home. Since then, he has been a tremendous supporter of my music. We've worked together on various music projects starting with the Mana Maoli compilation CD Vol. III where we recorded a song called 'Country Road.' Jack's invited be to join him on Ziggy Marley's children's album entitled "Family Time" for a track entitled 'Cry, Cry, Cry', we also wrote the lyrics to a song called 'Give Voice' for his drummer Adam Topol's band Culver City Dub Collective's album "Dos" and his own albums "To the Sea" and "En Concert." I was honored to contribute an original track 'Winter Swell Blues' to the Holiday compilation, "This Warm December, a Brushfire Holiday Vol. 2." With Brushfire Records, Jack helped to put out my EP "Misery's End" and hooked it up for Ziggy to be a part of it for a Bob Marley original called 'High Tide, Low Tide.'
I've come to know and love Jack Johnson and the people connected to him over the years, touring across the United States, New Zealand and Australia. The experience of being on tour with him has inspired so much in me and has connected me with music lovers from all over the world.

Since I first began singing professionally, I've learned so much and experienced many beautiful things because of music. I am often asked to speak at youth events for the purpose of sharing my powerful story. I love being able to share that part of my self with the purpose of inspiring youth to hope for something better, to dream big and believe that they can achieve those dreams. In all of my career this is what I am most proud of, being able to give back to the community by empowering our youth. I try to do this when I am on tour as well and have been able to work with Youth on O'ahu, Kaua'i, Hawai'i island, Maui, Alaska, Washington D.C., Australia, Vanuatu and New Zealand. It's my hope to be able to continue such rewarding work throughout my travels as I continue to learn and grow as person and an artist.

Last year I was invited for the second time in my life, to perform at the White House in Washington D.C. in celebration of Asian American Pacific Islanders in the Arts where I met the President of the United States, it is surely a moment I will always treasure and something that I will be so proud to share with my children and grandchildren one day. It felt good to be there with one of the most talented and humble musicians from Hawai'i, John Cruz, even though I was so nervous that I forgot some of the lyrics to my own song!

Recently I toured the U.S. with my guitarist, fellow solo artist and musical brother Mike Love, playing at some amazing festivals like Reggae on The River, Beloved, the String Cheese Incident's Horning's Hideout and the North West World Reggae Festival. We toured as an opening act for our favorite Roots Reggae band Groundation. Immediately after, I joined Jack on his Australia & New Zealand tour opening for him each night at some of the coolest venues. Earlier this year, I played for my very first time in Brazil as the subsequent Headliner of the Alma Surf Festivals in Sao Paolo and Maresias, I've made a lot of new friends and fans along the way and now, I'm finally ready to record a 2nd, full length, studio album.
I'm about 85% finished with the writing and everyday brings me a little closer to my goals! I love the music that is flowing through me right now and can't wait to be able to share it with you all! I feel pretty confidant, that the album will be called "Rain on Sunday" after a song I wrote about going with the flow and enjoying the beauty of Nature, you know, the important things in life! (I have been known to change my mind like the direction of wind so please don't be surprised if it ends up being something else! )
I've done my best to create packages for this Kickstarter Campaign, that I feel you will love and appreciate! Whether you just want to help by pre-ordering a digital copy of my album or go all out and book an amazing vacation in Hawai'i with a private concert for you and your loved ones, I'm hoping that I can provide something valuable and meaningful back to all of you that have helped me along on this musical journey.
