Grow is a 3 dimensional strategy game where 2 - 4 players co-create an abstract tree while simultaneously competing to acquire the most territory.
The tactile, 3D feel of Grow is a large part of the experience, and why it has been a challenge to develop. We’ve decided that the best way to accomplish this is by offering a high quality plastic version along side a higher end wooden Collector’s edition.
Grow’s been fortunate enough to be featured at E3 2014 (you heard right, a tabletop game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo!) alongside other great games as a part of the IndieCade@E3 showcase.
We were also one of the 2013 finalists in the Cards Against Humanity Tabletop Deathmatch design challenge, with great games such as Penny Press and Wizard Dodgeball
Grow starts out as just a trunk. Players can decide the length of their game by deciding the number of seasons they wish to play (anywhere from 30-90 mins). The game will ship with 5 seasons, but 3 is a good short game for 4 people.
On each players turn, they will play a Branch and then choose from 3 actions: the Leaf, the Bud, or the Beetle.
There are also fun events that happen at the end of each season, switching up the game a bit to help underdogs or hinder the runaway winner. Once the last leaf in the last season is played, the game is over! Count your points and see who won, or just step back and take a look at the masterpiece you have created. Grow has been designed to be easy to pick up and play, but hard to master, offering fun for any level of gamer, be they young or old.
If you want to further learn how to play, here's a video review from the Dice Tower that also explains Grow.
Grow is an entirely 3 dimensional game. Everything but the rulebook requires multi step, large scale manufacturing in order to be affordable. We want this game to be as accessible as possible, and in order to do that we need your help. By backing us, you will allow us to make a first run of the game, the most expensive, and open the doors for future runs as well.

Risks and challenges
Tabletop Games present interesting challenges with funding. Manufacturing is the biggest one, as we must find the most cost effective option with the quality and standards we're looking for. Then we have to ship our game all over the world to each of you. That being said, in the end it is all just a numbers game, and we have been consulting with a multitude of different companies for the past year to ensure that we choose the best partners to bring Grow to life.
All the design and testing on the game is done, which means there is no guess work or mysteries to solve. Grow is ready to be made and played by all of you! We also have a lot of friends who have helped us along the way and will continue to do so, including Cards Against Humanity and IndieCade. Along with these great mentors we have you, our backer community, to help us with your own advice and suggestions as we prepare Grow for success.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
