Hi! I'm Alex Lombard.
MORE ON ME HERE: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3123016
I am an actress and a writer living in Los Angeles. I have been in such films as "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter," "Inception," "Man Without a Head" and the Swedish trilogy "Snabba Cash (Easy Money)." I've also been on TV shows such as "Big Love" and "How I Met Your Mother." I recently completed writing my first television pilot and was overwhelmed by the response. My writing partner and I have since met with major networks to discuss our work and we continue to pinch ourselves at every turn.
"Sophie" is the name of my project and it's a psychological thriller inspired by "The Twilight Zone." It follows Ben, a boyishly handsome business man who is stuck in a dead end job. He falls madly in love with Sophie after meeting her in a park. We follow their simple and innocent relationship as it unfolds through their shared love of comic books. There's a surprising twist at the end and we realize that things aren't at all what they seem.
Martin Moody has signed on as the cinematographer. I saw his reel and was blown away by the visually arresting imagery. I'm so lucky to have Martin on board. He's one of the hardest workers I've ever met and he is completely devoted to this vision.
Jake Burke is the producer and the other hardest working person I know. From the moment Jake came aboard he was 100% committed to bringing the film to fruition. We're all working for free so this project is the true definition of a labor of love.
We've been location scouting for weeks (and even rescued a dog along the way) and have secured our dream locations. Our crew and equipment are in place and we're just about ready to shoot. That's where you come in! In order to complete this project we need about $18,000 which will get us through post production. $15,000 will get the film "in the can," so that's my short term goal.
My plan for the film is to do the festival circuit. I love being around other artists and I find film festivals to be one of the most inspiring events available to filmmakers.
I hope you'll help me realize my dream of directing my film. It's been a long time coming, and I genuinely feel that it's our time to shine!
BID WITH CONFIDENCE. YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS!

Risks and challenges
As we have been in pre-production for so long and have such an experienced crew, we don't foresee any real difficulties arising at this time. However, since we are shooting some scenes outside, weather is always a factor. We are prepared to shift our shooting schedule due to inclement weather if need be. Since the indoor and outdoor locations will be booked for specific days, it might be hard to shift dates, but hopefully our locations will be accommodating. I have the utmost faith that if challenges do arise, they will be handled swiftly and thoroughly.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
