This feature length film follows Isadora, a young woman, trying to cope with her elderly mother's dementia.
Just Like We Used To Do is a feature film, the first from Tinker Films. The story steps into the life of an elderly mother, Sophie, who is suffering from dementia, and her young daughter Isadora, who has assumed the role of her caretaker. It is a simple and honest truth about the frustrations of family, love, loss, and growing older.
The money that is raised through this campaign will be used in the production of this film for wages of the cast and crew, equipment rentals, permits, and fees. We plan to shoot this spring, and have post-production done by early summer so we can enter it into film festivals. Maybe this time next year, we will be at Sundance.
But remember, this is an all or nothing campaign. We need to reach our goal by March 5th, or we do not get any of your donations, and we appreciate every amount given!
This film is inspired by real people and events. It is dedicated to anyone who needs laughter in life's darkest moments.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
What's our biggest challenge? We're making a movie. The entertainment industry is a tricky business and filmmaking is a complicated and sometimes chaotic process, but Tinker Films has enlisted talented actors and an expert production crew to make this roller coaster ride run smoothly.
One of the current challenges we face is our team comes from different areas of the country - Pennsylvania, New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans- to name a few. Although skyping and video chatting proves to be cumbersome at times, everyone brings their very best to the table and we make it work.
Our goals for post-production are certainly set, but we run the risk of editing taking longer than expected. If this happens, it's possible we may need to expand our post-production crew.
Our team is focused on creating a project that speaks to many people, on different levels. We are committted to creating a film that will connect to an audience through our characters and their trials. Working outside the "traditional" methods is something we admire and hope to accomplish.
This campaign is not only for raising the funds to shoot a movie, although it is very much about that. It also allows those who have encouraged us throughout our journey to become involved in a project we are passionate about.
