About this project
Daniela Ehemann is an artist from Berlin, working across multiple disciplines of Installation, sculpture and drawing. For the month of July, she is doing a residency at threewalls in Chicago, IL. Her aim is to challenge the masterpieces of architecture, especially in Chicago, to develop new absurd forms and models in which the seismograph of time gets reflected. These forms will go with observational drawings, photographs and lead to a work-in-process installation at the end of her residency.
Daniela's work is a performative experiment where all inhabitants of Chicago are invited to take part and play with the "heroes" of Chicago's architectural history to deconstruct and develop new understandings of their cityscape. At threewalls, the empty space of the gallery will be filled with experiments, taking the form of model-making, drawing, and installation.
Daniela needs your support to cover her residency fees at threewalls during the month of July, totaling $800. Every little bit helps!
