About this project
I am seeking help in paying for the graphic design, printing and packaging to market my Tarot card-like deck of 36 Vision Quest Photo Assignment Cards. The front of each card displays a Japanese influenced pattern in soft blue/grey tones. The photo assignments, printed on the back of each numbered card, can be as simple as “Photograph the color red” or as challenging as “Interpret the subject Love. No kids, pets, parents or partners. Go deeper...”.
The purpose of this deck is to facilitate personal, artistic and spiritual growth as an artist while strengthening skills as a photographer. They will help put more meaning and purpose back into the photographic process.
In photography, it can be difficult to stay focused on one’s creative process if you are not practicing with specific assignments. These photo assignments were developed, tested, and fine-tuned over 25 years of teaching photography and leading photo workshops worldwide. The assignments are applicable to photographers at all levels of experience and ability, helping to jump-start the creative process while inviting the power of intuition into the photographic process. Vision Quest Photo Assignment Cards can be used by individuals, friends, groups, photo clubs or in classes. I am amazed to see how people seem to pick just the right card for what they need at that time!
Vision Quest Photo Assignment Cards are printed locally on recycled paper with an environmentally-sensitive coating, rather than the more toxic lamination process. The deck comes packaged inside a Japanese influenced folded paper box custom designed by graphic designer Lisa Mauer Elliott, of Outside the Box Designs.
My desire is to get these cards into the hands of photographers and photo students everywhere to provide inspiration, empower vision and jump start the creative process.
