About this project
Ever wonder what it takes to create the ads you see during the Big Game? Or how a logo came into existence? Or scratch your head at a snack food ad that makes no sense? Creative Clash is a game based on the crazy, behind-the-scenes world of advertising. It's an industry full of amazing people, brilliant work, and nonstop energy. It's also, quite frankly, downright ridiculous!
Creative Clash is brought to you by The Infantree, a branding and graphic design studio in Lancaster, PA. We’re avid board game enthusiasts and it’s always been a dream of our growing agency to make a game based on our experiences in the wide world of advertising and design. After years of late night conversations and many days of playtesting, we’re excited to share our game with you!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a hot shot creative in an advertising agency or a graphic design studio? Take on the role of Principal of your own creative agency, hire Employees, complete Projects, buy cool Stuff, and sabotage your friends with Event cards. The first player to reach their Ego goal is declared winner!

125 Custom Cards
The cards are sized to 2.55 x 3.93 inches, which is larger than the average playing card. It's very similar to the size of the cards in 7 Wonders. We plan to print the cards on a 14-point stock with a linen embossing. The cards will feel high quality and beautiful...and could even have your face on them. Check out the $300 or $600 reward levels if you’re interested.

Principals start agencies. Principals also run agencies into the ground. What kind of leader will you be? Each Principal has a unique ability that either helps or limits you throughout the game. Each one also has an Ego goal. Be the first to reach your Ego goal to win!
Agencies take time to build. In the beginning of the game you will have a small amount of Cash and no Ego. Play Project cards to earn both Cash and Ego. Some Projects offer small rewards while others require a large force of Skilled Employees to capture the best prizes.
Most Projects require Employees. The biggest Projects require a lot of them. Use your Cash to amass a horde of dedicated grunts and carry your name to glory. No Principal worth his salt is going to do all the work by himself!
The best Projects require a team of Employees with the right combination of Skills. Play Skill cards on your Employees to boost their abilities and earn a continual amount of Cash every round. Skilled Employees become extremely valuable as your little empire grows.
With success comes plenty of competition! Beware, your rivals will be armed with a variety of Event cards to sabotage your greatness. But you are not without protection! Many Event cards will allow you to defend your dominion or go on the offensive yourself.
With a mighty agency at your disposal and your treasury full of Cash, now it's time to inflate that Ego. Buy Stuff cards to amass tons of goodies and quickly reach your Ego goal.
As you get closer and closer to your Ego goal, the target on your back grows larger and larger. Protect and invest in your agency with the right Person or unleash one on a rival that's moving in on your territory.

Collectible Pack Levels
We're super excited about this one! We've taken each illustration of our Principal characters and turned them into collectible letterpress printed tokens. Letterpress printing yields a beautiful production quality that you can touch. Stand them on your desk or keep your Principal character next to you when you play the game. Expertly printed by Paper Meets Press in Philadelphia on duplexed French Smart White paper. Each character stands around 3 inches tall. This will be a limited run of only 300 OR enough to fulfill everyone's rewards once the campaign is finished. Either way, we're not printing this collectible item again. With this level you will also get one copy of the game and any unlocked stretch goals.
One flat rate for all countries! Get 2 copies of the game and 1 copy of the letterpress tokens, AND we'll put your name on our website and in our rulebook as a Kickstarter supporter. Be forever remembered as someone who helped to fund creativity.
Get your face illustrated into our game as an Employee! You'll get everything from our Patron level as well as your name and likeness on an Employee card. You can also add your own snarky remark to your card. Limited to only 8 backers.

Becoming a Principal in the game means that not only will your likeness be seen on one of the most used cards, you'll also be one of the characters in our limited edition letterpress printed tokens. You'll literally be able to sit your character next to you when you play! Limited to only 3 backers.
We plan to use an international fulfillment network through Game Salute that makes shipping way more affordable for many of our international friends. They recently launched their Ship Naked service and we will gladly take advantage of their network and pass the savings on to you!
We've wrapped all of our production and shipping costs directly into our reward levels, so what you see for each level is exactly what you need to pay. Select your reward based on your location and you'll be good to go.
The United States
The games will be shipped directly to Game Salute's warehouse in New Hampshire for fulfillment to our US backers. Note: If you are near Lancaster, PA and want to get your game a few weeks earlier, please send us a note to arrange a local pickup at our office.
Rewards for our backers in Canada will also be fulfilled out of Game Salute's warehouse in New Hampshire. Packages will be marked as “Kickstarter rewards” on the customs forms and will use the manufacturing cost of your rewards as the commercial value. This should most likely allow you to avoid GST and HST.
The European Union
Never fear, our project is EU Friendly! We'll be shipping games directly into the EU to Game Salute's warehouse in the UK. This means that we're paying ALL the import taxes for you. No worries about an additional VAT charge. Note: Norway and Switzerland are not in the EU, so backers in those countries should provide an EU shipping address if they want the lower rates.
Countries NOT in the US, EU or Canada
We've researched it and can't find a consistent AND affordable fulfillment option to other locations. It makes pricing our rewards fairly tricky. But that doesn't mean we won't ship a game to you! It just means we need to ask for additional funds. This is reflected in each reward level. We will mark these packages as "Kickstarter rewards" on the customs forms using the manufacturing cost of your rewards as the commercial value.

Risks and challenges
We are meticulous graphic designers and illustrators and we know how to effectively manage and prepare files for a complicated printing project. Help us reach our funding goal and we'll reward you with a gorgeous game you can both see and touch!
The biggest complaint we've consistently seen is that many Kickstarter campaigns don't deliver rewards on time. This is certainly something we want to avoid and we're taking a very realistic view of how long it will take to produce the game.
We're shooting for October 2014 to deliver all the rewards. Once our campaign is finished in April, we'll work through May to finish all the artwork and prepare files for our manufacturer. After two months of production and two more months of freight shipping to our warehouse network, we'll finally be ready to fulfill orders. We know it's long, but it's a very realistic schedule.
We realize there may be unforeseen setbacks along the way. We will do everything we can to stick to our schedule and get the game into your hands by the fall. We will also communicate with you regularly and honestly about how the production process is going.
