Carefully sourced from farms, purveyors and artisans around the globe, each of our products has been selected for its integrity and delivered to you with great care and purpose.
At ILĀ, our aim is to inspire you to gather, cook and celebrate the act of a shared meal. We take great pride in this collection and hope that our essentials become the cornerstones of your meals.
Our debut collection includes five varieties of Sea salt, maple syrup, wildflower honey, olive oil, and nine different spices. Each has been chosen, not only for the flavor found in the end product, but with careful consideration of how it is grown and harvested.
Six years ago, to celebrate the beauty and power of a shared meal, we started Sunday Suppers. The response to our dinner series — centered on the simple love of food — was overwhelming. Our community grew beyond our expectations and together we celebrated the tradition of gathering with food.
Over time, our Sunday Suppers larder filled with a collection of essential ingredients. Each one rich in its own history and tradition, but used in concert to create new meals and memories.
Introducing ILĀ, a selection of preferred ingredients from our kitchen to yours.
Your support of this campaign will help us fund our first line of products, scheduled to release in the fall of 2015. Over time we plan to thoughtfully grow this collection to include essentials for the entire home. Your support will help us bring this dream to fruition.
Our ingredients are meant to be used both in the preparation of dishes in your kitchen and as finishing touches at your dining table.
We have spent the past years traveling the globe to uncover the best ingredients for our kitchen — and yours. We have visited the farms, learned from the artisans, and watched as centuries-old traditions are used to release flavors that have become the cornerstones of our meals.
Our Black Lava Salt is harvested by hand using a thousand-year-old tradition. The sun’s penetrating rays help preserve the salt in its purest state; its dramatic black coloring is drawn from activated coconut shell charcoal found in the earth.
Our raw, cold-processed honey comes from the Finger Lakes region of New York. Collected from fields of wildflowers, its flavor profile is as robust as the assortment of wild plants pollinated during its creation: locust trees, wild raspberry, wild rose, linden trees, sumac, knapweed, joe pye weed, bamboo, clematis, goldenrod, and purple aster.
Each Ingredient is rich in history and story.

Risks and challenges
Our biggest challenge has been researching and securing products from around the globe that we feel passionately about. We have secured strong relationships with each farmer and vendor and have a strong understanding of the logistics that are ahead of us in order to import and package these ingredients to our supporters.
Our small online shop to date has given us a wealth of experience in customer service and we are determined to continue to create an easy and enjoyable experience for our customers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
