I am a musician, just like many of you. I really want to put on an Acoustic music showcase in the local DC area, and I want to pay my musicians. I am trying to fund the showcase using Kickstarter, my creativity, and my willingness to make you smile. If I can use my talents to bring more great music to people, I will consider this a wild success.
Goals! - April 21, 2018 Showcase
$55 Goal - Siebass Live - ACHIEVED!!
You have reached the goal, but is it really a good goal? You will now be stuck with me for THREE HOURS. You do not want this. I do not want this. We will all suffer for this hubris. Please help us hit the other goals! The nightmare will be real!!
$110 Goal - 2 artists - ACHIEVED!!
With $110 less the kickstarter fees, I will be able to cover expenses and pay a talented local-area musician to play some sweet tunes for you all. This is much better than the first goal, but that is still a looooot of Tacocat for you. The second artist is the talented Tim Junghans of the band Young Hands!
$220 Goal - 3 artists - ACHIEVED!!
Three hours, three artists, nice math. If we make it this far, I can afford to pay for three glorious local artists for your musical enjoyment! The third artist is the ever-musical Flo Anito!
$360 Goal - The True Goal - 4 artists - ACHIEVED!!
Four Forty minute sets is best for fortune, fortuity, and fortitude, for sure. I will be able to snag 4 local musicians at this rate, and we'll have a great time. At this goal, you will only have to listen to me warm ya'll up for the real talent. We've got a treat for you; Maryjo Mattea will be closing out the night!
Any funds raised over the $360 goal will be used to:
1. Pay artists
2. Promote the showcase
3. Save for the next showcase
If this project is successful, it's something I would be willing to do once or twice annually, as I really enjoy acoustic music and sharing it with everyone.
Risks and challenges
